i think if the ref had penalised flanagan for excesive holding and they were able to actually have a fight ormond could have taken himbrilo33 wrote:cant see how derry will win this .thought Stephen Ormond
beat derry comfortably and it looked that terry was to good for ormond and frustrated him in to making the fight a dq

terry looks like he has gained something when wining the title , not some one who is keeping it warm he is fighting like your going to have to beat him for it
Re: Terry Flanagan (c) vs. Derry Mathews - March 12th 2016
Terry just seems so grounded, mature and straightforward - there's a lot to admire about him, hell take some beating - he's got the right attitude.
Re: Terry Flanagan (c) vs. Derry Mathews - March 12th 2016

Re: Terry Flanagan (c) vs. Derry Mathews - March 12th 2016
i wanted ormond to win. i didnt see it that way thought ormond was losing got frustrated , not saying he cant come again, but thought ormond started slow against terry maybe didnt think he hit as hard as he didwatsupdoc87 wrote:i think if the ref had penalised flanagan for excesive holding and they were able to actually have a fight ormond could have taken himbrilo33 wrote:cant see how derry will win this .thought Stephen Ormond

Enjoying the Steedman-Woodhall commentary, incredibly refreshing after the dross that Sky typically serve up. No attempts to add ridiculous hype to the home fighter or go over the top with descriptions, just calling the action as they see it. Where's Barry Jones though?

Think he's in the studio for Berchelt-Jupp later tonight.Boxerbeetle wrote:Enjoying the Steedman-Woodhall commentary, incredibly refreshing after the dross that Sky typically serve up. i think they will rematch this year, and i think ormond will take it. he was a bit naiive i think in the fight and got pissed off with all the holding and the ref not helping at all and threw the loaf when i think if he had of kept pressing the last couple rounds he could have got the ko. i think they will rematch b4 end of this year tho and i think ormond will do it this timebrilo33 wrote:i wanted ormond to win. i didnt see it that way thought ormond was losing got frustrated , not saying he cant come again, but thought ormond started slow against terry maybe didnt think he hit as hard as he didwatsupdoc87 wrote:i think if the ref had penalised flanagan for excesive holding and they were able to actually have a fight ormond could have taken himbrilo33 wrote:cant see how derry will win this .thought Stephen Ormond

Hell of a fighter but the same crap from Frank

That was a superb finish from Tete there, that right hook/right uppercut is my new fav knockdown,he nearly took Gonzalez's head clean off its shoulders, defensively tonight Zolani was 1st class but offensively he was too patient, almost Rigo like when you could clearly see he was a level above but he was content to poke away
Again great ending though and i'd love to see him in with Inoue

i think so to. ormond is fighting next week, i think he got it wrong against terry, i think he thought he could walk terry down, and didn't realise terry had some powerwatsupdoc87 wrote:i think they will rematch this year, and i think ormond will take it. he was a bit naiive i think in the fight and got pissed off with all the holding and the ref not helping at all and threw the loaf when i think if he had of kept pressing the last couple rounds he could have got the ko. i think they will rematch b4 end of this year tho and i think ormond will do it this timebrilo33 wrote:i wanted ormond to win. i didnt see it that way thought ormond was losing got frustrated , not saying he cant come again, but thought ormond started slow against terry maybe didnt think he hit as hard as he didwatsupdoc87 wrote:

This is a step up in quality of opponent for Langford and it's not before time either.

He's taken more shots in 4 rounds than all his other fights I've seen.Black Sam Bellamy wrote:This is a step up in quality of opponent for Langford and it's not before time either.
