What cards are matchroom likely to run from here that isn't a PPV?

Sky are offering nothing in the subscription for boxing fans, and matchroom/sky boxing aren't interested in the small pool of boxing fans.

The current business model is very much aimed at the millions of subscribed football fans there are in the UK who can easily be sold a little Saturday night dust up with some Sky marketing & advertising. A highlight reel & some hype during Premier league games and Sky Sports News. BTW I once seen a presenter on Sky Sports News ask George Groves if he would be interested in "a showdown with Amir Khan". Sums Sky up tbh.

It certainly seems like the "free" Saturday night shows will just be whatever dross they can get away with & any half-decent fight will be edged towards PPV.

Let's not forget the blockbuster that was Cleverly vs Bellew 2

We can assume that every Joshua fight from now on will be PPV. I think there's more chance of Joshua going back to his previous profession of serving up drugs than Camp Eddie and his Sky cheerleaders putting any 'name' or half decent show on anything but PPV.

Personally, I can't wait to pay 18 quid for Cleverly-Bellew 3 with an AJ -Cornish stacked undercard rematch.

From a business point of view what there doing is a joke. Boxings viewing figures are getting lower and lower because of these twats, they have hijacked our sport. Deffo not fair play to them.

also i think people need to have a bit of a lesson about ppv. In a recent boxing News they asked supposed 'experts' whether they felt this fight was worth PPV. most of the experts said yes but then they had a vested interest in saying yes.

Sky is NOT free in any sense.
