I just watched the IFL interview with Billy Joe & I'm not sure if it's because of the beard (& I was watching on my phone) but it looks like he has a couple of Bantamweights hidden in his cheeks

So they turn down a great offer from Golovkin to fight...Max Bursak

From what Billy said they were in talks with K2 (who promote GGG) and they got some kind of deal for Bursak to fight Billy Joe first. A bit of a retirement purse for Max & some easy cash for all the promoters involved.

If Bursak wins, BJS gets a rematch & the promoters make more money. If (when) Billy Joe wins he gets the GGG fight.

It's still a shite bout but I can see the reasoning behind this rip off off the gullible public.

its a keep busy fight for BJS, a date filler for B0xNati0n and builds managerial bridges between W@rren and K2.
I would expect low ticket sales and low viewership for this one, I would be shocked if W@rren and B0xNati0n thought any different...

Frampton turned down £250,000 to fight quigg in 2015, got paid £1.5m in 2016.

Typical soft defence after winning a title. Happens all the time so don't see what the beef is. I don't see BJS as the type who'll sit on soft defences for any great amount of time, but this will shake the rust off.
