No.

McDonnell is world class.
Doesn't mean he isn't awful to watch.

It's good to hear him mention most of the obvious names.

Agree. He's a bit of a hit and a miss type.

I've little interest in him fighting this type of opponent, but he can compete with and beat world class opposition that I would be very interested in watching.

He shouldn't step up.

Why mention such a stupid idea?

Shut the heck up, Sky!

Was that McDonnell fight staged for the benefit of those in the arena who needed to go and take an extremely long dump? What a horrid fighter.

Why does every fooking boxer think they are Mayweather on the pads!?

Lord, why does Ed Robinson frequently and without reason turn to look at the camera! it looks ridiculous and so awkward! Like he's been coached and is trying to do the right thing by what he's been instructed but just can't get it right.... He's dreadful!

Would have been better on the Leeds bill next week.

Straightforward win for McDonnell he won every round,Vargas had some success with the odd shot but it was 1 way traffic

Stopped to save the crowd further punishment, hopefully the next couple of fights liven things up a bit

Why is Ed Robinson there? He's so unnatural. Is he related to someone at Sky?

It was never likely to be entertaining.

McDonnell is good in 50/50 types of matchups, but fairly tedious against lower level opposition.

Eddie Hearn said that the ringwalks will be around 9:45pm didn't he?

Unless we have two quick knockouts I can't see that happening.

I'm watching on an okish stream at the moment but will switch to Showtime at 4:30pm (my time). Hopefully they show the whole fight.

He knows a lot about boxing and has been in the business all his life, but his presentation skills are simply awful. He has been at Sky for 15 or more years, and I think that it's just that he hung around so long it would be more expensive to make him redundant than try to train him to be a presenter! I have never seen anyone on TV so unnatural and awkward.... At least Ortis Dealey had some enthusiasm!

He needs to give it up as a bad job - he could never compete with Froch (camp Eddie has been cobra'd !)

OK, cheers Jim.

I have 3 large Fosters Bitter left & a bottle of Spanish bubbly which I am going to mix with a bottle of white Sangria. I need to plan properly.

Plus the Missus wants me to go to a beach bar for sunset. I'm getting stressed out :witzend:

I get annoyed when he labours on relatively pointless info. The Lord Lonsdale challenge belt and member of the British empire being two.

On another note, frig me Selby looks enormous. Unless he is seriously struggling with the weight I don't see why he would want to give that advantage up and move up, like he aluded to in one of the IFL interviews.
