Half the posts on here seem to be personal attacks on Eddie Hearn and Joe Gallagher. So somebody who speaks positively about one of them is a "fanboy"?
I don't mind boxing at the moment. It used to be horrible in the era of FW monopoly. Mindless alphabet title defenses - WBU included - as main events, lots of cancelled shows (Calzaghe), with the odd big night thrown in to vindicate all the rubbish that had preceded it.

Chorley prospect Mark Jeffers on the bill. Kid can bang and will be one to watch in the future.

I totally disagree lightweight is one of the worst divisions, just because it doesn't have a clear leader or superstar.
Has been great to see Crolla come through all those tough and exciting UK scene fights (Sykes, morris, Watson, Matthews 1 and 2, Farrell, Murray, most at 135), to having quality world title bouts (Baroso, Perez) with Linares promising to be the best so far.
With Burns already having formidable achievements (beating Martinez at 130 and Katsidis/Mitchell at 135) - and Flanagan also out there, also looking promising - this is the best era for British fighters at this weight since Buchanan and Watt's careers overlapped.

Another addition that will appeal to the locals.
Tomi Tatham v Liam Conroy added to this bill. I like that fight a lot.

Another addition to the bill in Hosea Burton vs Frank Buglioni, which leaves things at...
Anthony Crolla v Jorge Linares
Isaac Lowe v Tshifhiwa Munyai
Hosea Burton v Frank Buglioni
Tomi Tatham v Liam Conroy
Connor Benn v TBA
Marcus Morrison v TBA
Mark Jeffers v TBA
TBA's aside, it's not the worst of the worst just yet. Local interest and relatively even matches (for those actually billed with opponents).

Good addition Burton vs Buglioni. Fancy Buglioni in that as having more experience than Burton who still looks very green to me.

I bet against crolla when he fought barossa and boy was I upset when he lost. Crolla had the perfect game plan to take barossa to later rounds and tire him out. I thought barossa would put crolla away but crolla did the Smartt thing and have a high guard and stepping back every time barossa attacked. Barossa was basically hitting crolla arms and tired him self out.
But I think linares is just a level above crolla. He will find holes in crolla defense and I think he will stop him. Fighters with tight guards are easy pickings for linares style. He must believe he can take advantage of crolla there is no way he takes this fight in crolla backyard without being confident in dismantling crolla

Burton will win, inside the distance.

The undercard seems better than last time. I went and it was well and truly awful put me off going back for a looong time.

By the time I realised I hadn't got a ticket the full card had been announced by which time I had decided I wouldn't pay for such a poor show.

Warrington's Nathan Wheatley also added to this.
I'd imagine he and Jeffers' fights will be floats.

It's being suggested Paul Smith will be on this bill now. Joy of joys. He'll no longer be on the Bellew card in October but "a September date TBA".

Burton on points for me.
If Chudinov can't stop him then Burton won't.

Tatham v Conroy is off due to Tatham picking up a back injury.
Conroy still on the bill but with a new opponent.

Lyndon Arthur will debut on this card now, having been moved from the VIP show the weekend before. Good prospect with strong amateur pedigree. From the Black Flash stable.

I'm also concerned about this too @Naandrew
I wonder if given Conroy v Tatham was an eliminator for the British, if they fancy just pitting Conroy v Burton to keep that bout somewhat competitive, and adding another bout.
Rather see that than Conroy and Burton's fight's becoming irrelevant 6-8 rounders.

Considering the prestigious WBC Diamond Lightweight title is in the line it looks like there is no VADA testing for this fight.
