Its not just MBC but iirc the KPBF also isn't recognised by boxrec
I know. And it's the same reason given by Boxrec, which seems to be a fob-off.Boxing Prospect wrote:Its not just MBC but iirc the KPBF also isn't recognised by boxrec

It became an official record keeper last monthmimmy123 wrote:What I find daft is that boxrec will not put a fight on a boxers record if the commision is not reconised by ??? so if a pro boxer has a record on boxrec and they fight under BBBoC rules or legislation their fight is recorded but they could then go fight for BIBA or MBC a few times and the fights will not be recorded, go fight on a BBBoC bill once again and the fight is recorded. To me thats daft as we should be supporting our athletes regardless which commision they fight under.
I know boxrec isnt an official record keeper but boxrec lead the way in record keeping. So really should just have fights on boxers records.
At one point the JBC had a rival, the JBF, or the JIBF, it was short lived but did hold an IBF Japan title fight or two. Never been able to find footage but it had fights held in boxing/wrestling mix showsdw01 wrote:JBF?Boxing Prospect wrote:Don't think the old JBF bouts are recognised either (or maybe a lack of information has lead to them not being included)
Why is that killing BIBA? boxrec only collects records and posts them. Im sure BIBA have a web site that have a schedule of bouts.Floydendizer wrote:Boxrec 's stance is killing the BIBA commision ,if u look at the schedule from now until christmas BBBofC have 64 shows compared to BIBA who have only 4 shows scheduled , of which 3 are promoted by Lee Murtagh which means only 2/3 pro bouts on each show . Don't know how the 100 or so boxers with the BIBA expect to earn a living ? .
No it cant be that ! According to BIBA they don't need boxrec as they keep their own database, plus they have fightfaxFloydendizer wrote:Boxrec 's stance is killing the BIBA commision ,if u look at the schedule from now until christmas BBBofC have 64 shows compared to BIBA who have only 4 shows scheduled , of which 3 are promoted by Lee Murtagh which means only 2/3 pro bouts on each show . I watched a live broadcast through Lee Murtaghs facebook live last week, cant remember who was fighting now but that was a MBC International belt and was from Pontefract I think, there is another show coming up with around 7 or 8 fights on the card. Last week most of the boxers had records on boxrec but obviously not from current shows by MBC or BIBA so it was difficult to see a full record database.questionmore wrote:And what happened to BIBA in Ireland?. That show was in Scunthorpe, it's on their website (unless thats wrong?). And according to their results list the last shows in Ireland were in Paisley & Belfast in April - 5 months agomimmy123 wrote:I watched a live broadcast through Lee Murtaghs facebook live last week, cant remember who was fighting now but that was a MBC International belt and was from Pontefract I think, there is another show coming up with around 7 or 8 fights on the card. As Hillary Clinton famously said 'What difference does it make'dw01 wrote:Who cares how many shows the MBC / BBBoC have, it's not about that. It's about fairness in the sport, and the fact that one organisation wants a monopoly, and is using Boxrec and the EBU as leverage.
What does it take to get a licence?
Once you've answered that, ask how come the BBBoC feel that they're the only one that should be permitted to authorise a person to box pro in the UK?
Thing that gets me is that IT IS SO PLAINLY OBVIOUS of the racket that is going on. Boxrec's silence on the matter is quite disgusting. It's similar to someone that has done wrong, yet is too cowardly to admit or justify their actions. We can all say that the BBBoC has Boxrec's ear, and is pulling the strings.
"Relegated" . Interesting. As a 'stat collector', by what guideline, authority, or common sense are they going on? I'm thinking, like many others are, that they only wish to have the BBBoC as the pro licensing body in this country. Is it also coincidence that those other commissions that were dropped are also out of favour with the BBBoC? Personally, I don't know how any free-thinking person can bow down to others like this.questionmore wrote:As Hillary Clinton famously said 'What difference does it make'dw01 wrote:Who cares how many shows the MBC / BBBoC have, it's not about that. It is not illegal for any person or persons to put on a boxing show with their own rules & regulations and classify themselves as a professional body so the door is far from shut by any monopoly.
IT IS NOT A MONOPOLY AS SUCH, BUT YOU KNOW WHERE I'M COMING FROM. MBC, BIBA, GBA, LBF, WHOEVER 'LICENSES' FIGHTERS, PROVIDING THAT THE LICENSING CRITERIA MEETS THE MINIMUM STANDARDS, THEN ALL OTHER COMMISSIONS SHOULD RESPECT THAT.
QUICK QUESTION: IF A COMMISSION LICENSES A BOXER ABROAD, AND THAT COMMISSION IS RECOGNISED BY THE BBBOC, THEN DOES SAID BOXER HAVE AUTOMATIC CLEARANCE TO BOX ON A BBBOC SHOW, WITHOUT PAYING FOR FEES OR A BOARD LICENCE?
However, when it comes to BbbofC its all about levels. And like it or not, they are the premier league of boxing in this country with others trailing in the lower to Sunday League tables.
'SELF-APPOINTED' LEADERS. I WONDER HOW MANY OF THEM HAVE COMPETED IN A BOXING BOUT? THEY'VE POSITIONED THEMSELVES WELL THROUGH THEIR 'AGREEMENTS', IT'S GOOD BUSINESS IF UNFAIR.
MBC or whoever will have to make their own path to bring themselves upto premier level to get anywhere near an equal standing. You wouldn't expect sky sports to cover the results on the coach & horses (even with a team full of Gary Linekers) in the same way they would Chelsea.
SHOULD ANOTHER ORGANISATION COME ALONG, IT'S HIGHLY UNLIKELY THAT THE BBBOC WOULD WORK WITH THEM ANYWAY.

And remember - MBC was listed previously so they must be classified as relegated. ...
Says it had a PABA title on, yet at the top it says "Unsanctioned Show". Boxrec is suppose to be a statistics website for professional boxing, I don't understand the prejudice and neither do others who are posting, I think people just want clarity on the situation and a reason why boxers results aren't being updated.
Was definitely sanctioned by the KPBF, check out some recent Hyun Mi Choi bouts (for WBA titles) and they were sanctioned by the KBA. For some reason only the KBC is recognised by boxrec, yet the KBF are certainly recognised by the JBCdw01 wrote:Says it had a PABA title on, yet at the top it says "Unsanctioned Show".
