It doesn't work like that and you know it, Eubank has come on leaps and bounds lately and could be one of those guys that can jumps up levels, we've seen what golovkin can do but think theres more to come from eubank
I know it doesn't work like that, but I really don't see how Eubank has a chance. He jumped up a level before and got beaten (and comprehensively out boxed until Saunders ran out of gas as usual), and the level he jumped to then was nowhere near the level he's jumping to now (Golovkin is pretty much undisputed top 3 P4P in the world right now). All credit to Eubank Jr if the fight goes ahead, but I give him less chance than I gave Khan against Canelo.

Based on what though mate, beating O Sullivan,Blackwell and Doran. No disrespect to any of those fighters but they are levels below Golovkin. What we haven't seen is him in with a good boxer since he lost the fight to billy joe. If you stand in front of Eubank he will bust you up (at domestic level) let's see what happens when he stands In front of Golovkin

Don't get me wrong its a mountain to climb for Eubank, but its the potential of him that interests me, the things we haven't seen yet that he could be capable of, and if there is more to him than we've seen you can bet golovkin will bring it out of him

Most would say the same thing, Golokin seems to do has he wants, but there is something about Eubank, he has no fear of anyone, plus this is boxing and anything can happen.

You get the feeling Eubank is continually improving.

I'd take him over Saunders if they had a rematch for example.

Very hard to pick Eubank to beat GGG because of the one punch power GGG has in either hand. If I take Eubanks chin on trust, and it's going to have to be as concrete as his dad's, then I can genuinely pick him to win. It becomes a very interesting fight because Eubank also has the attitude/machismo to not be overawed by GGG in any way and not let GGG get the upper hand without taking some fast punches back.

Another thing that perplexed me is how would GGG react if he was on the receiving end of an arrogant pasting from Eubank? If he was down on the cards etc.

Ultimately though you just keep going back to GGGs power. But then you go back to Eubank Srs chin.

Eubank Sr. Was able to walk through thunderous flush shots from a big hitting cruiserweight in Thompson. I remember one punch Thompson landed, and to this day it's the most beautiful and flush right hand I've seen a fighter take. Thompson pretended to be hurt and backpedals to the ropes. Eubank bought it and came running into a HUGE RIGHT HAND and kept coming.

These Eubanks might be made of steel.

So are you picking Eubank or not?

And how much machismo would Eubank really have once GGG hits him? He didn't look especially confident to me when he stepped in the ring with Saunders, so perhaps he's a bully who is cocky when he's in with British-level (or lower) fighters, but doesn't show the same attitude when he's facing top opponents who can give it back to him. I find it hard to believe that since losing to BJS and beating a stream of British-level guys he's improved so much that he can give a P4P elite fighter like GGG an 'arrogant pasting', but maybe we'll see.

Neither do I ,, AND IF IT DOES Eubank gets hammered , people are basing him winning on these so called terrific performances of late , the only time he stepped up (bjs) he got beat , in fact went the first 7 rnds getting schooled until he relized he was'nt really getting hurt ,, he never came within a cats whisker of hurting BJ even though Billy was tired in the later rounds .

His performances since have been against guys not at his level , and this great chin everyone is talking about , well that was his dads not his he's not fought anyone yet with a great punch .

Its hype and shite ,, all designed to get his name out there , the more people talk the bigger the fight becomes ,and then he does a Amir Khan style demands , stating i'm the name i want the 70-30 payday , whenhe does'nt get it he says we could'nt come to an agreement , so i'm gonna fight Mickey Mouse , for 80-20 in my favor

Jeezus if i was GGG i would be so frustrated by now , and the thing is GGG still has'nt really proved he is has good has most think , He's willing too but he has'nt

I don't know who im picking yet. This fight really confuses me. I still need to think about it more.

Is there anyone on GGG's resume that Eubank wouldn''t be favoured to beat? I think Eubank probably beats everyone on his record, making Eubank his best opponent to date.

The bookies have GGG 1/7 and Eubank 11/2. If I had $100, I'l rather put it on Eubank Jr at 11/2 than GGG at 1/7.

Don't get me wrong I think golovkin would get a stoppage win but I have a feeling it would be a fun fight whilst it lasted and that Eubank would land some shots before succumbing. Particulary the uppercut.

Pretty sure CEJ throwing lead uppercut after lead uppercut is a quick route to him getting knocked spark out by a left hook against Golovkin

Depends if he does it recklessly or not, or picks his spots for when to throw it. One area I would say Eubank jnr is pretty decent is when he gets really close ie pretty much on his opponents chest and let's the uppercut go. As good as Golovkin is, he's a lot more effective at Mid and long range than on the inside.

I was intrigued about the thought of a Chavez jnr fight wheh he was boiling himself down to make middleweight.

I watched GGG v Lemiuex again last night. Say what you want about Lemiuex, but he can punch and he landed flush on GGG without even moving him one inch.

GGG just brutally beat him up, to the point where it was hard to watch. He simply smashed him to pieces round after round. Never even got out of 2nd gear.

I doubt Eubank Jr hits harder or as hard as Lemiuex, so his only chance is pure work rate. I can see Golovkin just beating Jr round after round until he`s either pulled out by English or stopped.

If you don`t have enough power to keep GGG off you, then you have no chance at all. Nobody so far has troubled GGG with their power. the guy is an absolute beast.

I think Jr is a tough lad and has plenty of skills, but I think he`d struggle with Lemiuex, never mind GGG. If it happens it will be a one sided beatdown.

Check out their spar - GGG looks very comfortable operating in Chavez's office up close. Lands uppercuts and hooks freely in close. I know it's only a spar but technically Triple G is a master at all ranges.

Surprised so many think CEJ has any chance. He looks good whaling away against domestic class lads but his lack of fundamental technique would get badly exposed by GGG. Easy work for Golovkin if made

-Chris Eubank Jnr-
"I still think Golovkin is right at the top level. In his most recent performances you have not seen any signs of him diminishing or getting old. He's undefeated and has one of the highest knockout ratios in boxing so you can't knock that.
"He solely relies on his power and intimidation factor. Some of these guys he has fought were beaten before they ever got in the ring. But I have so much self-belief that I know that will not affect me. I'm not going in there to survive or thinking I don't want to get hurt, I'm going in there to take everything he has. I'm not scared of him - can he match my speed? Can he match my combinations? He doesn't slip punches where that is a big part of my game.
"I see many holes and weaknesses in his game - as there are weaknesses in everybody's game - and I believe I can exploit them. He relies on his power but I can take a shot which is why I'm not worried about stepping in the ring with this man. He's not indestructible and he's not some kind of bogeyman. He has two arms, two legs and a heartbeat just like me - I can and I will beat him. I'm coming for his belts."

For the most part Chavez would've been a punching bag against GGG, though he would have stood a better chance than most at 160 of going the distance. They were actually close to signing a deal for a 168 fight, but Chavez freely admits turning down a big offer due to his reluctance to resign with Top Rank (I believe that him signing the deal would've trigged a renewal of his contract).

Yeah just checked it out. He did look very good there to be fair and showed he can work well on the inside aswell. Okay, Eubank is screwed lol. One tiny saving grace I'd say he has though (not enough to win him the fight) is that his hands are a lot faster than Chavez jnr's and when he does put punches together in combination- he does look very impressive. However that all said, yeah he's in extremely deep against Golovkin. I do believe it will be a fun fight for the duration it goes though. Eubanks fights tend to be entertaining on the whole and Golovkins obviously always are.

It doesnt matter how fresh, fast or solid Eubank Jr is, he is going to be punched in the face and body by someone with absolutely freakish and concussive power.

Eubank Jr isnt an illusive fighter.

I dont see anyone at 160 lbs being about to take GGG's power.

I would love Eubank Jr to win but i think he will be put on the back foot by fear and shock within 30 seconds of the fight after GGG lands his first proper punch.
