I'm at peace... I used to bother me a little that some people are stupid, ignorant, and hateful... people like you... But it seems like the wheat and the weeds will always coexist for as long as the human race endures on this planet. A great servant of humanity once told me not to worry about hateful people. Of course... Everybody was... Who wants a 6-foot tall strike zone??? Ruth was said to have the best eyes in over 200 pairs and could read the spin on the ball... The best reflexes out of every 30 or so players...and one of the best natural swings ever... He did swing at bad pitches... Ted Williams tried not too swing at bad pitches. "Why would anybody throw you a good pitch if you swing at bad ones??? I can tell within a gnat's ass whether a pitch is a ball or a strike."

I'm talking about Andrew Young. I consider him a great servant of humanity and he used the quote to remind me that while social and political work often doesn't have an immediate, tangible effect anyone can see, the collective work of humanity pushes the world slowly towards more just societies.

That's because you are incapable of reading. "A great servant of humanity once told me..." is unlikely to refer to someone who's been dead for 200 years.
