Ronald McDonald Macintosh, a man who will use 25 words where one will do.
"The boxer from the country of Spain, in Europe, has won this portion of this contest of the NOBLE ART, with a enthrallingly vibrant display of pugilistic jabbing & a cracking bent arm right hand powerful blow, rendering his opponent 2nd best, indeed possibly 3rd best ..etc etc "

I haven't found him too bad this time aroundBoxerbeetle wrote:MightyWarrior wrote:Ronald McDonald Macintosh, a man who will use 25 words where one will do.

By the way did anybody see the Uzbek fella smash the Aussie at middleweight? Best performance/performer I have seen at the games so far, elusive and very sharp and heavyhanded with it, well worth a watch if you haven't seen him yet
Re: Olympic hopefuls?
Savon had off again.
Not going to say robbed because it was close but i thought he won that fight.

That was some impressive hitting by the big Nigerian super heavy.
And yes Ronald Mc has got a lot better lately

Re: Olympic hopefuls?
I thought he lost but not sure how one judge had him losing the first - the Swedish judge again. Bad judging elsewhere though (Iglesias and even more so the poor Romanian.)chiggsy wrote:Savon had off again.

Re: Olympic hopefuls?

Butdee and Nistor have been robbed silly, though Levit won very fairly, thought Gary Russell was lucky.
The guy who beat Mina (what a fight that was BTW) should surely be recognised as "The 4th pro" give he's 10-0 (5) in the pro ranks and fought as a pro in April!

McCormack looks pretty well-schooled against a southpaw again. Two skilled operators in there

Heck of a chin on the Algerian fella
Re: Olympic hopefuls?
Buatsi reminding me of Nigel Benn in there.
Re: Olympic hopefuls?
That Algerian has now lost in the quarterfinals three Olympics in a row. Must be tough to get so close to a medal that many times without bringing any home.

Yeah, although I think he looks much better when he boxes. He had some really nice technical cameos amidst the slugging, albeit brief ones.
