I think that Bellew would have a good chance of beating some top 50 ranked heavyweights.

Feathers will tell you and the press that this fight was already made but this is a lie. He secretly went behind allegedly back and signed the fight to avoid fighting me. He a bitch down to his last chromosome. Yes it's true this is the fight that I ultimately wanted besides [Klitschko] because it's a big money fight." "The money would have been ten times bigger than the few million he's getting to fight with his lil buddy that no one knows. To turn down a heavyweight title shot is a slap in the face to boxing itself. We work our entire lives to reach the highest place in the sport - the title. He's milking what lil name he has left for dancing shoes because apparently that's his next move. A dancing reality show." "I'll be suing him for what he did. Yes I have a contract from him but I laid low to let it play out. My attorney will be bringing his weak ass promotional company down. Champ you'll be paying me for wasting my time and walking away from millions of dollars. All because you scared. Because your heart weak. It ain't fully developed. You need to go see the Wizard of OZ. Sad thing is behind the curtain there is no wizard. He gonna tell y'all some lies so get ready. Look at him, piece of sh*t."
Bloody hell this is all getting a bit emotional.
I suppose, if you think you are going to fight Haye on PPV for the vacant 'regular' WBA (right? I'm so bored I'm losing track) and then suddenly you're going to have to face somebody else with a pulse for hardly anything and almost definitely lose, you'd be annoyed as well. I wonder who he'll have to fight for the title? If it's Fres Oquendo (who I think probably quite a few of us on here have never even seen fight; wouldn't recognise if he walked past us in the street) then, even if they heavily comp it, it still won't sell out. He's got a title shot and he'll probably lose and nobody will watch it and then, poof, he's gone.

You bet he's mad!

Bellew, as far as I understand it, is regarded as a bit of a joke by most .. and an idiot by all.
Haye has come from highly respected - to a fraud also.
So it's quite amazing this fight sells.

Good for them if they get the pay day; pity the fools who buy it though.
It will sell, the casuals are going nuts for it, there is genuine BEEF between these two! :TU:

This fight fvcking disgusts me.

2 blokes with no appetite left for the game conning the gulllible, stupid public into believing that it's a genuine fight between two genuinely worl class contenders. It's no better than a fvcking pantomime. At least Haye once was a genuine and credible world champion. Bellew's just a mouthy fvcking gobshite whose true level is fringe European

My feeling of utter disgust will only increase in the coming months more as Sky and their sellout pundits spout a torrent of utter shite to sell this farce.

I've seen Oquendo fightat least half a dozen occasions and for anyone who hasn't seen him I can promise you, it's brutal viewing.

If Briggs v Oquendo is made for any type of semi-legit world title at this stage of their careers I can perfectly confidently guarantee it'll be easily the worst quality title fight at heavy ever.

It would have been murder 10 years ago!

At the moment, I think it is for a UK PPV.... of course there has been some Tyson fights on PPV (including vs Williams) that were non title.

Something will be on the line by March - some intercontinental bauble... off course its not the first non "world" title fight headlining a UK PPV. We've had Clev vs Bellew 2, Groves vs DeGale, Magnificent 7 bill, Whyte vs Joshua to name a few.... I'm not counting Bennett vs Earl.

Utterly tragic how this sport has allowed two celebrities to talk themselves into a multi million pound fight through their vocal ability. Meanwhile others go about their business with self respect, dignity and pride- risking their health and well being in order to prove themselves to be the best- but are ignored.

Both are current/former world champions. They are both quite talented boxers.

Haye was a great cruiser and an ok heavy. He's done nothing and fought nobody since 2011.
Bellew is a bog standard, unremarkable boxer with absolutely no business being at heavy- he's a fat cruiser as it is.

Boxers should be exciting in the ring, their talents and ability should sell fights-not their WWE acts- that's not exciting- that's just acting like a fool to appeal to morons.

Chisora is a somebody.

Bellew has a solid record and is a world champion.

Nothing bellew has done in his career warrants him being PPV. Nothing Haye has done in a ring since 2011 warrants him being PPV.

They can do it all they want- they don't care about legacies or testing themselves I don't expect to be taken seriously or get any respect from boxing fans- milk the temporary adulation of ill informed fools that will be back to watching football a day later.

It will be a big win for the winner.

This fight is good for their legacies.

If David Haye wins it will be no more impressive than mark de mori.
If bellew wins then it will demonstrate then it will be David Haye in name only he has beaten as even at 50% of his former ability he would destroy that light heavyweight.

Bellew is worth far more than De Mori.

That is a very negative way of seeing things.
