Not sure if they gave an estimate of the crowd on the TV coverage because it was too noisy in the pub to hear the commentary.

A mate of mine was at the fight and we exchanged some texts. He estimated 30,000. But it didn't look quite that many on the TV - though it was almost impossible to estimate.

In a FOX article they state "almost 28,000 people."

I notice Boxrec have inserted for the fight: "Attendance 26,940."

Is my prize in the mail for picking the attendane correctly?

I have it on good authoritie that there was a army of bogans , from Perth , running around putting carboard cutouts , in place ready for the cameras to pan around , and the actual paying crowd was ,, 7465. 5 the .5 being a midget , bogan running around in a leprochaun suit ..... Wher do i pick my door price up from .

I watched ladies AFL Carlton vs Collingwood fight instead, which proved to be by far more entertaining as I figured it would be.
Admittedly, it was a freebie which attracted 24,500 attendance, with another around 1,000 locked out, which looked every bit like it.
Viewing clips of Adelaide's mega fight, it appears attendance was nowhere near that.
As for reported 150k Main Event home subscribers Bullshit at its best

Do you really think someone in the crowd wouldn't have posted a picture or video on social media of it if it was true?

According to the Daily Telegraph and the Herald Sun the Green-Mundine fight grossed about $15 million.

The breakup was :
$8 million from Foxtel’s Main Event home subscriptions
$3 million from the pubs and clubs that bought the fight
$4 million in ticket sales.

Not bad for a fight people claimed would never happen and then claimed nobody would pay to watch.

not to mention that some of our fellow forum members claim that this was a nothing fight and was a waste of time.

they also claimed they wouldn't and didn't watch it even though they have spent most days talking about the fight for 10 years, lol.

with a 3rd fight most likely making more money than the 2nd one due to the constant sooking by the baby mundine, I would honestly be shocked if they don't fight again.

u wouldn't see this many sooking cry babies in a nursery, lol.

imagine the punishment the woman would have copped if green wasn't severely concussed by the coward dog king hit for the whole fight.

obviously the woman realized that the only way he could win the fight was to hit green when he wasn't looking but it backfired and the amazingly courageous danny green still managed to beat him :)

Whether those numbers are accurate or not they made millions.

and its all thanks to our resident goose for ordering the fight on Foxtel. he was first in line u know and offered to pay extra he was so excited for the fight, lol.
