Parker is underrated. He tough and puts his punches together well. I think he's one of those that will make up for any technical/size difficulties with his toughness. Kind of like a Froch mentality. I wouldn't bet against him here.

Because there is a good chance he would lose .

From what I've seen of Joseph Parker, He is a long way from world class. Going by his last performance, he looked no better than the journeymen Fury has already fought. We've not really seen Fury fight at full health, the skin complaint seems to have cleared up and he claims to be 100%. I'm hoping for an upset.

He beat 3 fringe of fringe guys in Rudenko, Guinn and Kassi (he'd just drawn with arreola and been outpointed by Brazeale)

And turned down Dillian Whyte for British title

He's only 22!! Make $1.2m fighting Parker.... win lose or draw.... he's 22 but $1.2m richer

Jarrell Miller went mental on Twitter that he turned down a WBO eliminator with him.

They also turned down AJ possibly twice but 100% once they were offered the date at the end of last year and refused because of money.

The thing that I find disgusting about this fight is that he was charged by UKAD last June for a failed drugs test and it's been swept under the carpet.

And whilst coincidently not fighting for a year whilst this charge was made public he is made mandatory for a world title. Imagine if he wins then it turns out he is gets a ban afterwards or was banned.

Probably. Joshua's opponents seem to get written off straight away though because the knives are out. Molina was a decent test as was Whyte. Even Martin (as bad as he was) was a decent opponent. Hearn moved AJ in to the world title mix far too early IMO. He put him on box office and had nowhere else to go. If he gets chinned by Wlad then Fast Car is the man to blame.

As I have said since this was officially announced. Only when Hughie lands in New Zealand should anyone assume this fight is happening.

I think the fight will definitely happen

I voted Parker, but it's a pick I can really get behind, as I don't think he's top draw, and hughie fury is a bit of an unknown quantity. From what I do know, he's probably worse.

Parker - built up as a destroyer, speed and power etc, but when he's up against any sort of level he doesn't look like that type of fighter. Add into the mix he's so defensively open. Joshua would badly take this guy out, his arsenal vs Parker defence is a bad combo

Fury - looks like he lacks power, but boxes ok. More conventional in his habits than Tyson. Allegedly suffered from skin problems that caused him to be far less than 100% in his fitness/energy levels. Hard to write off camp fury, they'll have 100% belief and a Plan I believe

Neither fighter have demonstrated a chin or power recently which would suggest this will be knockout.

I think it'll go VERY similar in scorecards to Ruiz and Takam. Either UD or MD. Then the Fury team, and fansters will be shouting robbery. I think in a neutral venue it'd be shout for a draw, or narrow Fury win, but with home advantage, it'd edge the win for Parker.
