cheers for that ,i was interested to see if davis would make that. McCullough looks like he taking the edge off his performance by draining down to featherweight ,time for a move up for me. walsh boxing nice and well within himself here.

No one in America has heard of Walsh. Davis will be in no better position in U.S. boxing after this fight than before (if he wins).

If Davis beats a known top 130 fighter he could become a significant player but this fight won't put him there.
However, after tonight, GTank will be quite well known in the UK if he puts on a good show. That is the strategy. Plus, plenty of Americans will be watching him take on an undefeated fighter in the UK.

GTank becomes a significant player in less than 24 hours if he wins. After that the options are many from feathers moving up to consolidating SFeather to moving up after Linares and more.
A case can be made that Davis is second best at 130. Some people would pick Corrales and Berchelt over Davis but the odds would be much closer even Davis favorited.

He's young and just won the belt is he really going to get throw in vs Lomo/Corrales/Berchelt. Liam Walsh is a good fight him at this stage and a winnable fight for Walsh.

Cheers :TU: i would imagine that is going to be difficult for some of the bigger weight divisions who could easily put on a stone overnight just by rehydrating.

yeh you would think it would be graduated by size wouldn't you?

Good win for Ryan Walsh, I only gave McCullogh one round, the 6th, and that was only coz RW took a round off.

It's a problem the other belt holders are on HBO. Right now I wouldn't pick Davis to beat them but that may change over me (except Lomassiah of course )

So Walsh gets the KO in the end, a bit later than I thought he would mind, bit of a mixed bag from Ryan tonight, defensively he was sound apart from the exchange in the 10th where McCullough landed clean a few times but Walsh switched off a few times, there were 2 rounds where he had Marco looking troubled at the bell but come out to have a scouting mission for the next round, quite the opposite to when he fought Ceylan and was hellbent on a KO so that was maybe something he was being careful not to do again

Still he got the win and the stoppage so credit and credit to McCullough who showed heart and a good chin as well actually

You never know with Copperbox FW cards, could be 1am

The Sky Joshua fight recently was pretty early, that surprised me 10pm - obviously took transport and travel from London into consideration

Well if Davis can continue to win against lesser known guys like Walsh and Tevin Farmer he's profile will continue rise. I think he beats Corrales though. But at 130 many don't have better wins Corrales and Berchelt. As good as Lomo is and hes levels better than Davis but AT 130 Davis has the better win of two.
