Golovkin lost in lots of people's opinion.
Golovkin's win against Murray was more impressive.

What does "lot's of people's opinion" mean? We can remove Mayweather's wins over Maidana, Castillo, ODLH & Pacquaio then by the same "lot's of people's opinion" logic.
Golovkin got a unanimous decision by official judges.
Taking a quicklook at press cards, ESPN/Dan had it 115-112, i think Lillis had the same. Is there a majority across mainstream boxing journos & pundits calling it for Jacobs? OF the few I just checked over seems a majority are in agreement with official cards.

3k public votes, only 29% for Jacobs.
I think 'a minority of people on the internet seen a close fight in favour of the loser' is pretty weak standard in which to discredit a victory.
Jacobs is probably the best of the rest (and if he isn't, Lemieux is). Concensus is that Mayweathers best win is Corrales, to say Golovkins win over Jacobs wouldn't be a top 10 win on Floyd's resume is a stretch... you'd be including a blown-up fat Marquez and dug-up Mosley to get to that conclusion.
Re: GOLOVKIN - NOW IN CONTEXT!
The talent and ability is clear to see. He's banged out most of those put in front if him and the big opponent he is chasing won't get in the ring. You don't have to make mad claims of TBE middleweight to see he's s class act who would have been right amongst it in any era.Horse wrote:Others are too busy going along with the hype to see what is really happening.samwbr wrote:You too busy adopting a contrary position you miss what's going on in front of your eyes.

I'm not a big hype fan and totally understand the sales angle - but Golovkin decisioning Jacobs is no disgrace at all and does nothing to detract from his ATG status IMO.
I also think if he decisively beat Canelo people would point out that Alvarez hasn't really fought as a full-blown MW.
Said it before but to cement ATG status GGG needs to fight some SMWs really given he's cleaned out the division. Taking Saunders' title is pretty irrelevant for me as one of the other organisations will make sure they ruin it for him anyway.
