Imagine if every top 20 guy fought 3-4 other top 20 guys every year?

I could rewrite the song Imagine to that. :OhYes:
It's really just about there being more best. Fights always didn't happen, they were just more active and many more top fighters.

Ah, Saad you're back. Lucky us. Is it too much to ask you to apologise for calling me me a fake whilst training under the best coach in the country, and one of the top ten in the world? (According to Ring magazine) at least? I bet you never will. So,really who's the fake here....?

I'd be happy to apologize if you want to produce your name, gym, trainer, amateur record, the pros you sparred with etc,,. You're obviously under no obligation to do that, but you just continuing to talk doesn't make me think you're less full of shit. Otherwise eo would be a legend.

Yes, video and photos too. Including a photo I'd to match the name. I don't know why my apology is so important to such an important man, I don't even recall why I called him a fake. I'm sure it was with good reason or I was really high.

Probably the high thing. Your apology isn't important, it would just be the decent thing to to. But I've sparred with Kell Brook, Junior Witter, Kid Galahad (who we all know as Barry), and many others who have run rings round me. Not denying that for a second. Wish I could say I was a legend. Wish I could say I sparred Prince Naseem Hamed but he left the gym before I joined. Don't have any photos (what on earth would that prove anyway?), why would I? Although there are some shots of me in the background of the training vids to the Brook / Golovkin fight.

What about you?

I've nothing to apologize for. I don't expect you to prove anything, you just came on here demanding an apology like you've proven something. I may be high, but you seem to be sniffing glue.

Edit: I had already put you on ignore and don't have a clue as to why you're still upset. Anyway, you take care tough guy.

I don't go near any substance abuse pal. I''m sure you know it's a mugs game. But calling someone a fake is pretty inflammatory. I expect you know that too.

So you're high? Not judging, but that would explain a lot.

I used to hit the speed bag and heavy bag with my bare fists to toughen them.. I didn't punch with all my strength and punched with a lot of control, precision, and balance, so as not to damage my hands, but I would pretend to be punching a lot harder than I actually was. I drove the heavy bag around impressively with a bigger sound and more raw power than most Heavyweights could generate.

I did it to show off.. It was fun hearing the awestruck comments.. I did break metacarpal bones in my hands a couple times as a kid in street fights. Swinging away and smashing a really hard head with your fists might do that.. So I was very wary of that and extra careful. I always took about 20 minutes or more to wrap my hands.. A lot of guys flip their wraps on in a couple minutes.. I never damaged my knuckles though. They seem to be extremely hard and resilient to this day.

Partner boy?? What does that mean?

Like I say, I train at one of the best gyms in the world which has produced multiple champions. The only broken nose I'm aware of was in an eliminator for a pro world title bout. And even the boxer himself admits he effed up there by lacking concentration and not taking care of himself, although he still came through it to win in the end.

You are being very coy about your own experiences with pros,or even top level amateurs? (Apart from all the broken noses of course). Tell me a bit about yourself Saad. (Genuine question btw). Not goady.

I have a question for you, since you used the term "coy"; why are you being so coy and not simply stating outright that you train with Brendan Ingle? I am also not attempting to be goady, just genuinely curious.

Sure, I do, Although it's mostly Dominic and Junior and Amer who do the coaching these days. Brendan is semi-retired, but you can't deny he has achieved a lot in his time. I go round to his house sometimes to get the keys to the gym and he and Alma are always very welcoming. They once invited me into their front room to watch one of the Olympic bouts which happened to be going on at the only time I could get to the gym that day.

Do you have any connections to the Ingle gym yourself? Only asking because I've been off for a year because of injury and would love to reconnnect properly rather than just rock up at their door one day?

I do not have any connection, though I am familiar with his body of work. The only reason I knew this was the gym you were referring to is because the quote you posted earlier to describe him was verbatim from his wikipedia page. I was just curious as to why you wouldn't come right out and name the gym. Sounds like you and he have quite a good relationship though; that's rare in this business and you're quite blessed to have it :TU:

Well, because it would be pointless. How would a broken nose in sparring prevent a damaged eye socket in a fight? But if you want to fight a guy two weight categories above yours you probably should expect some damage. Ultimately his (Kell's) call, and his risk to take.

Thought you had me on ignore?

Don't know what fugazi means, care to explain? Or Partner boy?
