You're obviously trying to portray a macho toughguy persona but how can you clout someone if you don't know their identity or location?mickey1975 wrote: ↑16 Nov 2017, 09:24Fully grown up, thanks, with children and grandchildren and a job. Still won't stop me clouting anyone who stalks me.

Haven't drunk in a while! Other people came to my defence, I wasn't too bothered about your opinion.
Ten meths drinkers.... Ok, well this week alone I've been to four shows and am at three in the next week, one of which includes world number four am schoolboy and Tyson is his hero...

I can't and I won't. Like I say, I'm constantly at shows, I'm pretty hard to miss! Don't have to portray anything.BigDoofus wrote: ↑16 Nov 2017, 11:02You're obviously trying to portray a macho toughguy persona but how can you clout someone if you don't know their identity or location?mickey1975 wrote: ↑16 Nov 2017, 09:24Fully grown up, thanks, with children and grandchildren and a job. It's like that scene in Father Ted where he's patiently trying to explain that these cows are small and those are far away. I can't work out if you're that stupid, that self-centred, or just on the wind up.mickey1975 wrote: ↑16 Nov 2017, 11:04 Haven't drunk in a while! Either way, Joshua does 75k against a non-entity like Takam on a couple of weeks notice. Tyson does 10k against Wladimir Klitschko. The reality is Joshua is light years ahead of Fury in terms of box office and in the grand scheme of things what your mates say to you means nothing. It certainly never transpired in terms of people buying tickets for his fights did it?

Yes, 50,000 in Düsseldorf and the AJ fight would sell out anywhere. Haye sold out straight away, too.
Re: Fury looked decent today
I think Duke McKenzie raised an important point at a recent ITV PPV when talking about Fury - He said something like "For boxers, when the mind goes (Mental Health) it is very rare for it to come back". I think this is a major important point. I think there are many examples of when a fighter hits a rapid decline in mental health that that affects their boxing - even if they can get themselves back into tip top fighting shape. Mike Tyson being the prime example, and you can probably argue Ricky Hatton also.
I think at times when a fighter goes to the brink in terms of mental health and then launches a comeback, the comeback is part of the therapy so to speak - more so than the winning. Mike Tyson at times didn't seem angry with a defeat, just happy he managed to control his life for so long he whipped himself into some kind of decent shape, but then I do this might have meant when he had the likes of Kevin McBride thowing punches at him - "man, I don't need to take these shots - I've already won by being here".
I think there will be so many questions in terms of Fury, there were many questions about his ability before his troubles. Lets not forget - Klitchsko was his one fight in true world class and despite somehow now being perceived as a "masterclass" it was a terrible fight that and Fury hardly set the world alight - it was a case of can't fight, won't fight and quite similar to how his cousin performed vs Parker (going by the reports).

The vast majority of 50,000 in Düsseldorf were there to see Klitschko. There were a few thousand Fury fans there but I wouldn't say more than that (I was one of them!).mickey1975 wrote: ↑16 Nov 2017, 11:29 Yes, 50,000 in Düsseldorf and the AJ fight would sell out anywhere. You're 100% right that AJ v Fury would sell out anywhere but given that AJ v Pulev/Takam did 80,000 that's hardly surprising. It's a similar point for the Haye fight as well - most Haye fights sell out quickly. He sold out the MEN for Ruiz and his 2 comeback fights against nobodies pretty much sold out the MEN. I'd be surprised if Fury against either of those opponents, or even Takam/Pulev would do more than 10,000 tickets.

Re: Fury looked decent today
Only proof from people who actually know him?
Re: Fury looked decent today
Who gives a f*ck that you clearly want to be petty
You not ever seen the people tweet into Tyson ? Or read the gyms & local businesses who said he's helped in certain ways ? The papers don't report it cos they only report the things he does that aggravate people. People who know him & know of him know aswel
Just cos something isn't in the papers doesn't mean it hasn't or isn't happening
