To his credit, Lomassiah claims this is not a big win due to size advantage.
Rigo claims the opposite and that he hurt his hand in round two.
Yeh, I liked that. He's not going to brag about this win. I like how he's learnt English quickly. Good on him.. Unlike some (Canelo)..

Nomaschenko. Sounds about right. Rigo really stunk out the joint with his performances in the ring and on the mic. Total excuse maker like Walters.

Rigos fine outclsssing inferior opponents but when’s he’s having a hard day at the office, when things aren’t going his way, he gives up. Did not show that championship quality.

Lofl. Time to zap the channel. Stephen Smith sounding like a diva talk show host. Wtf is this doing on a sports network?

Yeah, a real lack of pride for someone of his status.

I'd rather Rigo had lost 119-108 than quitting on his stool.

I don't think Loma had hit top gear yet and Rigo knew it was coming.

Nicholas Walters unfortunately set the trend for fighters to quit on their stool when against Loma.

I watched the fight for a second time and could not see Rigo land a flush power left in the first, second, or third rounds
Normally I give guys who claim an injury the benefit of the doubt. But I can't see when this happened.
What I saw was a guy mentally defeated sit on his stool
I could well be wrong, but that's what I saw.

Rigo never had a chance in this fight and he knew it. Showed up strictly for the paycheck.
Rigo could probably make bantamweight without much difficulty. The idea that he was ever going to beat a fellow P4P guy who was 10-15 pounds bigger and 8 years younger was ludicrous.

15 lbs is a definite stretch. More like 8-10. People somehow forget that Loma just moved up in weight himself.

It was 7-8 lbs at 9am, Loma isn't a big SFW by any means and still could make FW without much issue. But I don't think size had much to do with what happened anyway.

There was a lot of pressure on Lomachenko in this fight... If he didn't win he would be ripped from A to A... I could read the tension on his face cuz so many people said Rigondeaux would beat him... Rigondeaux didn't look tense.. He looked sad.. He looked like man who was headed for the gallows... I wonder if he'll get any important fights going forward...
And I wonder if he'll return to 122... Everyone at 122 ducked him and he was basically left with no choice but to fight Lomachenko while the fight was still doable... He'll be an old man soon so his situation isn't that great.
Lomachenko is the number 1 P4P fighter in the world... That is certain... No Mas Chenko rules supreme.

Btw, did anyone realise the fact, that Rigo NoMased earlier, than Walters, Sosa and Marriaga?

Is Lomassiah some new thing... or what his mancrushes call him?
Missed this last night, JCS. I nicknamed him Lomassiah a year or two ago based on his rabid fanbase.
He looked really good last night BUT the size difference was ridiculous. Lomassiah is an ultra impressive talent though.

I'm by no means a Rigo fan, but some of you are ridiculous.
Loma is making all these guys quit for good reason. He'd probably be doing these guys a favor by knocking them out. But, he is completely outclassing and clowning his opponents. I really can't blame these guys. We'd all like to think we'd not quit on our stool in a fight. But, if your getting completely outclassed, humiliated, and continually beaten in the head with little to no hope of winning, are you supposed to risk your life to avoid criticism from a bunch of people you don't know?

I think 12 is pretty reasonable. Rigo weighed in at 128 and I'm guessing that's almost exactly what he weighed in the ring. Whereas Loma has generally been around 140.

Rigo weighed 130 on fight night and Loma weighed 137.5.. limit for fight night was 138

I would not be surprised if Lomachenko continued to rehydrate after the fight night weigh in.
Rigondeaux is about the size of the average bantamweight. He competed at bantamweight throughout his amateur career, and he was certainly much smaller than Donaire when they fought. I still can't believe Donaire used to make 112.
