Yeah, she is a solo mum from South Auckland with 3 brothers who all fight. I would say growing up that way, there would have been a lot of punching going on before the gloves did.

Linares is poor defensively. Lomachenko should have very few problems taking him apart.

i can see it taking a few rounds for loma to get going. he often starts slow the first round or two and linares speed + length could take a bit to get timed, but i think loma should have him down eventually

A lot of close rounds but before rd 19, I had Loma up 87-83

At the same time, the officiak 3 judges:

86-84 Linares
84-86 Lomachenko
85-85 Even

Very enjoyable fight. I gave Loma most rounds but Linares was in all of them, did himself no harm at all tonight. Still a brilliant fighter. Felt like the commentators were on Lomachenko's ball sack a bit too early. Their socks went brown when he got dropped! But Loma did great to get up and stop the bigger man. The shot to finish the fight was perfectly picked.

I had Lomachenko up 86-84 at the end of round 9.

i had loma up 86-84, i dont know how anyone could possibly have linares ahead though he did fight well

loma is excellent but i dont think 135 is his best weight and i think garcia beats him

The judge that had Linares up by 2 points (Robin Taylor) gave him the 4th round. Wtf!? Just off the top of my head I thought that was the clearest round for either fighter up until that point, and I gave it to Loma.

Last thought on this fight before I fall asleep - I've lost a lot of respect for Ismael Salas during this. He chose to be part of the Haye-Bellew circus, no doubt knowing full well the condition Haye's body was in, instead of being with his fighter of 6 years who was going into the biggest fight of his life against the best boxer he'd ever stepped in a ring with. Linares is a brilliant boxer in his own right, but brilliant boxers still need brilliant trainers. The outcome of Haye-Bellew was decided before the first bell, Salas' presence in London was irrelevant. He could have made a difference had he been with Linares. Maybe he wouldn't have won anyway, maybe he still would have got knocked out. But for Salas to prioritise Haye, who he's worked with for less than a year, is very poor form IMO. Complete mercenary!

Great fight. How the feck the judges had their cards up to that point is incredulous + the compubox stats were ridiculous.

I didn't score the rounds but Loma was easily in front by several/a few rounds. 3 weight Champ in 12 fights, wow.

As an aside, Oscar is starting to look like Wayne Newton.

Good fight to watch. I gave Linares 2 rds plus the knockdown I think, but he certainly wasn't embarrassed.

Lomachenko is so easy to watch. I'm not sure if he could beat Garcia purely through sheer size but it would be Razor close.
