What makes you so sure that Joshua loses to Lewis?
Not sure if you are serious - Lewis would have stood Joshua on his head.

Guess there’s far worse boxers than Price out there.

A prime Lewis would've bent AJ over and tanned his bare arse! Lewis would've annihilated AJ man!
I dont think AJ is any better than Frank Bruno.
Skill wise probably not much between them but AJ has that killer instinct and bit of spite that Bruno seemed to lack.
AJ is MUCH less stiff and robotic than frank. Frank was always wound as tight as a drum.

I reckon ne would have got at least 10k for that
I would’ve thought more than 10k ?
Anyone have an idea on the Price and:/or Povetkin purse?
I think more then 10k as well.
Would he not make that kind of money or even more fighting for the British at the Echo ?
10k for the undercard against Povetkin on a giant PPV, he'd have laughed his bollox off at an offer like that, he'd make that doing a few bathrooms! 6 figures easy I reckon.

Exactly a prelim fight on the under card of a PPV where the headline act is sharing £20 million plus, I don't know anything about purses but I'm sure him and Povetkin got paid a nice wedge.

for whatever little its worth, andrey rudenko said he got well over 100k (i think us dollars, so well over £ 70k) to fight povetkin. if povetkin opponents get that, would povetkin himself really travel to fight for much less then that?
not sure about price

Could Price sell out the Echo Arena against someone like Gorman do you think?

If he beats a few bums and then in January starts shouting “it’s my f ucking year” every five minutes then I’m sure the scouse people will buy into it again.

Absolutely. He'd have uppercutted him til tomorrow. He was a stronger inside fighter, could obviously box safe and I don't even think AJ punches harder to be honest. AJ's size wouldn't have worried Lewis at the slightest. Was happy to wrestle Vitali, Grant and other huge guys

I'm a huge Lewis fan and you'd have to make him a considerable favourite but Lewis (in his prime) still lost to McCall and Rahman, squeeked past Ray Mercer and was a lot closer with Bruno than many thought. He beats Joshua but I don't think he breezes past him without any issue.

So, Pricey earned £109k? Not bad for an afternoon's work.

I'd like to see Pricey stick around.
These days we all know what he is, he will never been good enough to become a World Heavyweight Champion.
If he looks at it realistically - Pricey could still have a tidy little earner for himself if he keeps himself in good shape. He still has decent boxing skill and he does carry a good bit of power (when he commits to his shots) so he could still be in the World rankings around 70-100ish.
As long as he doesn't see himself as the big deal anymore and he's willing to be more realistic with his expectations, there's no reason why he couldn't be a British Champion again (after Chisora, Whyte etc...) move their sights up to World level.
Maybe he could get the English Heavyweight title and hold on to that for a while. Or maybe score some obscure belt like the European Union Heavyweight Title, and beat up a load of journeymen fighters.
If I were his Manager, I would tell him to look at:
Anthony Joshua holding the WBC International Title (by beating Denis Bakhtov)
Tyson Fury holding the World Boxing Organisation International Heavyweight Title.
These titles may be virtually meaningless and have no lineage whatsoever, but for slightly-better-than-run-of-the-mill guys like Pricey they can be valuable trinkets that they can make their own and would add a bit of prestige for his fights and he can say stuff like: "I'm defending my title" etc...
This would also help Dave with becoming regular mid-card filler around the British boxing scene, he wouldn't even have to leave the country. It could be a handy wee earner for him.
Basically what I'm saying is - as long as Big Dave stays away from the mainstream boxing titles, he could forge out a moderately successful career for himself.

It’s up to him of course. He knows his limitations.
What’s wrong with being a British champ? It’s something he could achieve. His confidence at that level would soon return. He’d earn decent money too.
I wouldn’t want to see him carry on but I can see why he would.

If Deacon Blue played a live set before the main event then they’d sell it out in seconds.
20k Nans would flood onto Stubhub.
