I've got no problem with the Lewis stoppage. He was pretty wobbly.

I also agree with Kalan that Bowe and Tyson (or at least their advisers) weren't keen on fighting Lewis at the times they should have fought.

Klompton's post nails the MCCall issue for me. I think Kalan knows it as well, he's on the wind up.

MCCall had a great night and a great win, no issues there. But he's an alphabet heavyweight amongst many others, no more than that.

All three beat him on points. McCall was a very tough guy but one paced. And didn't need much encouragement to go into sparring partner mode when faced with a better fighter.

There WEREN'T better Heavyweights on the night he beat Lewis... He was fast, powerful, teachable, and even out jabbed Lewis... Lewis couldn't move him... He moved Lewis... McCall had all the assets Joe Louis had if had a great coach...

He didn't have one.... Steward was really big on McCall, but he was a fly-by-night coach.

Bowe, Tyson, and Holy never saw the day they could beat Lewis... For a Steward coached McCall it was shooting ducks.

I have a problem. I don't think he was wobbily. He was asked to continue and responded that he wanted to. I (and I'm sure many others) have seen countless fighters come back from this kind of situation.
Bowe did agree to fight Lewis. If Lewis would have beaten McCall the first time, it would have happened.

I as mentioned before pretty much agree with Klompton's post. McCall was a good fighter. However, he was not a great fighter ever. Not sure if he even deserves to be rated higher than Rahman.

Even LEWIS said he was wobbling when he got up... "I got up too fast..." The count of 6 too fast?

Alp makes no sense and is blind as a bat... Lewis was wobbling and leaned heavily ON the referee... View the 26 seconds from 23:51 to 24:17 of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfg2kgK-p1c See for yourself

Jim Lampley said of Lewis "Legs are wobbly. Clearly hurt at this point -- and perhaps it was because he leaned on the referee and put his body weight on the referee without being able to steady himself into an erect position that convinced the referee to stop it.." ..... Gil Clancy said, "Absolutely.. He FELL right into the referee. As a matter of fact if the referee stepped aside I think he would fallen down again..."

The referee would have been criminal if he let the fight continue... Lewis would have gotten smashed out cold.

lewis wasnt up and ready to fight , the ref got to like 8 or 9, and lewis is still wobbling around and then actually leaning on the ref even a few seconds later. a joke that ppl think that was a poor stoppage. lewis probably wouldve face planted if the ref hadnt been there for him

sing it bill withers: 'we all need somebodyyyy, to leannnn on'
