I'm pretty much aware that if you get 40% one fight, then 60% in a rematch, it equals 50%, since both fighters %'s equal the same added up in the two fights. That has zero to do with being in the sport, being a hardcore fan, a casual fan, or never watching the sport. That's basic math.
Not if the rematch makes more or less than the first fight.
40% of $50m + 60% of $100m = $20m + $60m = $80m
60% of $50m + 40% of $100m = $30m + $40m = $70m
So a 60/40 split followed by a 40/60 spilt is only equivalent to a 50/50 split overall if both fights make exactly the same money, and how likely is that?
I know that both fights will make a different amount of money. I'm saying they'd get an equal % average for the two fights combined.
But they don't!!
With the numbers above, the averages are 53/47 not 50/50.

I think that even if AJ offers 100% of the money and fighting in America wherever Wilder likes and a follow up match in de UK where AJ receives 100% of the money, Wilder would probably still not accept.

Well we all know that asdfjkl doesn't like Wilder. It was even more absurd when he was backing Povetkin during his drug scandal.

Well one thing is good, it's easy to ID a fanboy from a real objective boxing fan. The latter is getting rarer and rarer...very frustrating.

I am very serious. I like AJ and can't find a single reason for him not to fight Wilder. I'm a boxing fan and this is THE fight we all want to see. This dance around the terms and $'s is the biggest BS I've ever seen. Every hour something else is said by Hearn; AJ; Wilder; . I'm sick of it, and I'm sick of all the freakin' conjecture between the fighters. Yeah...I'm angry. And anyone who predicts an easy win for either is a complete f'tard. We'll have answers when/if they fight. At least you recognize yourself as you felt compelled to respond. All the BS talk here has no impact on the outcome. Let 'em fight FFS!

I agree with the above but also feel this...
They could fight twice... They could win one each... And because they are both punchers with vulnerabilities, each fight could appear as an easy win. But it won't mean it will play out the same way again.

just seems strange for a guy constantly whining about all the talk, haters, bias etc to then call aj a pussy

It provides a spark for more debate.(lol) It's out of frustration. Watching boxing for 45 years and I don't believe I ever saw such difficulty making a fight for whatever the reason (especially a big fight). I shouldn't have called AJ a pussy, but I sure hate Eddie Hearn. I'm a frustrated boxing fan and I'm getting pissed!

Never called him a bum or overrated either. To me all the dancing around has no impact but to make sure this fight never happens, which I'm beginning to believe.

Plus, this isn't frustration yet. Try Mayweather vs. Pacquiao level frustration. And we're very much at the very start of This. They've both just fought in massive fights.

In other words, we both work in car sales. I get an a 10% commission on every sale in April, you 15%. It's reversed in May. I sell 15 cars in a April, you sell 18 cars. I sell 12 cars in April, you sell 4. Overall, yes, I did make more money. We both however had an equal % chance to earn the same income. It just worked out differently between our sales in the 2 months.

I find that hard to believe, they have only been talking about this fight seriously for a couple weeks.
Some fights don't get made for years and years (or at all, in some cases).

This fight has been discussed for over a year. Yes, maybe seriously for the first time. It is THE fight to make. I'm sick of the BS when it's so obvious who needs to meet who in the HW division. Greed takes over on both sides.

It may have been discussed for a long time, but discussions don't make fights, negotiations do.
They have only been negotiating for a very short period, give them a chance.
Greed is always going to be an issue.
But if the businessmen behind the fighters are going to put their hands in their pockets to get the fight made, then it is logical that they make sure that they get as big a return on their investment as possible.
I firmly believe the fight happens either late this year or early next year.

Ok you can make a case for equal probability but the simple average doesn't work (as you're not talking about probability you're talking about revenue, so you need to use weighted average)
