I would love to see this fight again. In say a year and a half. Diaz could have won. I think he russell a few times. Maybe he wins the rematch.

Hell of a chin on Russell Jr. Not sure what the hell Showtime commentators talking about. Russell Jr.'s performance wasn't what you call great. The rounds were close for the most part, and a knockdown or two wasn't called.

Diaz clearly lost to the better fighter.

However Diaz did himself no harm what so ever. He will have learnt more in that one fight than all of his other fights combined.

He'll be back at that level again.

As for Russell he's among the most frustrating fighters in the sport. Clearly highly skilled just doesn't fight and doesn't want to be a big star. This sums up most PBC fighters.

Another poster mentioned Leo Santa Cruz. He is in the same catergory. LSC v Russell should have been built to a super fight over the past couple of years but neither fighter is arsed about boxing.

I wonder if Russell's limited activity the past 3 years contributed to his late round fade.

I used to favor GRJ strongly against LSC, but I think LSC wins that one.
