Exactly this. I have no issue with any come back fight walkover, unless the come backer has spent the past two years bad mouthing everyone else and claiming they could knock them both out the same night.

No different than the BS muhammad ali said during his exile. Pure and simple.
What are you talking about? How's it the same? Ali came back and fought Jerry Quarry, Oscar Bonavena and Frazier. 10% of Oscar is better than 100% of Safari or whatever you call him

Yeah it's a ridiculous comparison. By today's standards it would be the equivalent of Tyson fighting Dillian Whyte June 9th and say Kubrat Pulev in August.

We always knew it was going to be a poor opponent and I think that's all it is going to be when he fights for Frank.

I was more basing this on Mickey saying that they were already advertising that they were showing it pub windows up his way. I get about town and I've seen nothing of the sort down here. If Fury was fighting somebody good then that might drum up a bit of a buzz but obviously this is a dreadful match up.

I'm happy to be proved wrong,
There's a pub about ten minutes from me that always advertises boxing, even gets the PPV. But I take your point. I suspect not may pubs will be making a big deal out of it being on down here. If you got a local, or know somewhere with BT Sport, you might get it on if you ask.

I'm kind of lucky. I live next door to a pub that has Sky Sports and BT, but most of it's clientele is workplace staff. Saturday night will be less busy, so could probably walk in and ask for it on if I wanted. (Though sadly, think am busy that night.)

One time I walked into this pub on a Sunday afternoon, and there was only me and the barman, so I persuaded the barman to put Ronnie O'Sullivan vs Steve Davis on the screen rather than Premier League football. Weekend trade has become a bit busier than that now, so I don't think that would happen again.

Undercard update

SAM MAXWELL will be back in the ring in a few weeks’ time.
The undefeated Commonwealth Games gold medallist, 29, has seven victories on his unblemished ledger to date.
And Maxwell will be looking to add to his record on June 9, exclusively live on BT Sport, when he takes on Kane Baker at Manchester Arena.

Baker has a winning record of 7-3, is 27 and has only been stopped once in his three defeats.
Conor Benn, the son of Nigel, was the man to stop Baker, who has also been in with Gary Cully and Sanjeev Singh Sahota.

Maxwell will be joined on the bill by fellow Liverpool-based fighters Jack McGann, James Metcalf and Alex Dickinson.

McGann faces Dwain Grant on his boxing debut over six rounds after a successful campaign in mixed martial arts, while ‘Kid Shamrock’ Metcalf face Spain’s Jorge Fortea for the vacant WBC International super-welterweight crown.

Dickinson, meanwhile, will be looking to add to his unbeaten record when he takes on David Howe.

The heavyweight, 31, is currently 5-0 with three early and was last in action at the SSE Arena in Belfast last month.

That outing, on the undercard of Carl Frampton’s vacant WBO interim featherweight title win over Nonito Donaire, lasted just 68 seconds against Lee Carter.

And he will be looking to do a similar job on the 37-year-old Sheffield man Howe, who has lost his last three by stoppage, when the pair square off over four rounds.

I popped into Plymouth yesterday and saw a poster for the fight outside my old boozer of choice (back before I realised that the point wasn't to get pissed as quickly and as cheaply as possible.) I went in to see if the place had changed. Nope - still a s**thole, with guys so battered that they were propping themselves up against walls at 2pm.

Didn't see any other posters anywhere in the city centre. Not sure if that says more about boxing, or Plymouth.

As a BN subscriber I'd be pretty disgruntled if that was true. Boxing News have it as BT & BN. Surely a FW bill would be on the FW channel ?

It'll be good to have Fury back, we need characters like him, especially after such a dominant win over Klitschko, its a shame how things panned out in the 2 and a half years since, all the shite that's gone on, people thought the win over Wlad was boring but it was nothing compared to everything that went on with Fury afterwards

Understandably he's going in with a safe option in Seferi, I don't mind the fight too much but I would've preferred a proper Heavyweight , Fury's been decked from a career Cruiserweight before in Cunningham but I doubt Seferi should pose to many problems, I can see Fury simply outboxing Seferi early doors, switching stances, hands low and peppering the much smaller Seferi with jabs and combinations, i'd be very surprised if he lost a round

It is hard to tell whether Fury has regressed since the Wlad fight, I'm sure he has but its about how much, I think Seferi wil go rounds, I cant see Fury trying to blast him out anyway, he'll play with him, if he can stop him then that's about as good as he can hope for

This being BT exclusive is even more of a pisstake now that the Saunders card has fallen apart (again). Genuinely think I’m going to cancel my BN soon.

There's no logic behind it if BN has any sort of future. There was pretty much no mention of BN and no advertising for it at the Warrington Selby fight; you'd think FW would be advertising his own channel at arguably his biggest show of the year.

Yeah I noticed that too, every single advert (either on the tv, or on the ring boards) was for the Fury show which is BT exclusive. Certainly feels like BN is winding down to me.
