I don't have one, and not sure he requires an excuse really. People get knocked down. Wladimir was on the floor versus Puritty too. It's not like losing your title getting KOd by a jab or something. That doesn't happen to anyone, except Herbie Hide.

Hide lost to a prime Riddick Bowe after hurting him. No shame in that at all. Morrison got ripped apart by Michael Bentt and was floored twice by Purrity. Hide had much better form at the time. Morrison's form was awful and somehow you give him a a pass for the Bentt fight. Why is that? Are you a Morrison fan by chance? Do you have a man crush?

Just think Morrison was the harder man and better fighter, and against Hide would employ the focus and discipline of the Foreman performance, rather than throw caution to the wind like he did versus Bentt.

after watching the ending of the Ruddock fight for the first time in many years... I cant believe the fight was stopped at that time... referee jumped in way too early...
For the Tommy Morrison compleatists.
you've seen the clip of him hitting the speed bag ,now watch the entire episode of Tommy Morrison re-activating his movie and TV acting career in an episode of CYBIL-Educating Zoey ( aired January.14. 1996).
he appears in the 30 minute episode ,3 times.
beginning at 1:35 to 5:25, 7:00 to 8:20, and in the ring at 15:00 to 16:00 https://tubitv.com/watch/442808/s02_e13_educating_zoey
( here is a brief clip from about 7:00 into the episode)
Tommy Morrison's 50th professional fight-November 1996 (Tokyo, Japan)
The fight Morrison vrs Rhode was on the same card as the pay-per-view fight George Foreman vrs Crawford Grimsley
( to put it into Historical perspective)
2005
2006
2007
February .22. 2007
51st professional fight ( after almost 11 years)
here is a newsstory about the fight https://www.espn.com/sports/boxing/news ... id=2775863
-here was the main event-Joe Mesi vrs George Linberger
Morrison's last fights in the 2000s were sad to watch. Unfortunately Tommy was broken mentally and went to the denial stuff. He was in a horrible shape in the official fights, while that last unofficial bout was a total joke. Anyway those things doesn't spoil Tommy's legacy, just it's sad, that everything ended this way for him, outside of the ring and inside of it because of the outer reasons.
Tommy Morrison interviewed in 2010 at his newly opened T.C.B Gym in Wichita Kansas.
( which opened in November 2010 and was located at 3758 E. Ross Parkway in Wichita)
well that's certainly debatable,
but very early on in his boxing career ,he had described his boxing style as mostly "All Balls & Brawn".
BTW
i don't think that there may be any truth to the rumour that he wanted this as one of the songs to played at his funeral. (?)

tommy morrison was not a very good fighter lets be honest about it .
RIP
Ridiculous, he was top 10 in a top two era.
I dunno about that, he beat Foreman, and Ruddock. He was a massive puncher with fast hands ( people forget about that part ). Drugs and focus outside the ring and a weak chin were his biggest problems.
