Id like to see him get his life back on track and set himself up away from boxing. He's got a trade under his belt so could earn a decen keep from that. Hopefully he has a couple of fights and wraps it after all this comeback stuff is out of his system...

He should consider becoming a trainer. His old man was good at it, he might have the knack for it also. If he can get some young fighters, train them through to British title level, maybe world level, he might get the fix he seems to be craving that way.

Given he is a Scottish boxing legend, if he can show some merit as a trainer, then i'm sure many of the young talent comming up in Scotland will be drawn to working with him.

I think its a good option for him, but feck knows what he thinks about it. Training maybe has no interest for him..

He was helping train some youngsters recently but I'm not sure if it was a gimmick for the press or if it's something he wants to get involved in. The article I read said he was great with the kids etc but it was just a paper and most of they guys don't have half a clue! If he was local to me and training I'd deffo take all my boys in to him! He'd certainly be popular so that's an option if that's something he wants to do.

Apparently he's a cracking joiner as well so he could start a wee business if he had a few quid to start up which I'm sure he has. Last thing we all want to see is him hitting the drink and drugs and getting in to bother again! Needs good people around him. I've been at shows where he's been fleeing and he's looked ready to boot off! I'm 6'4 and I wouldn't want to be in his way when he's on one! No thanks!

Is he still painting? I can't see him being satisfied winning Micky mouse titles. Maybe he just wants to say he came back and won something to justify himself as a 'success'. I watched his fight with Brodie yesterday.

I read that he exhibited some stuff at Southside Gallery in Glasgow. It is difficult to see how far he can take it but he needs something to distract him so I hope it goes well for him. I was talking to Michael Brodie about him last year and Brodie said it was a shame that someone who could have become one of Scottish boxing’s legends has fallen by the wayside. Obviously, Harrison has to carry a lot of the blame for that himself.

i thought the way he came back and stood toe to toe with the younger /Fresher Liam Walsh was admirable.
it showed how tough Scott is , loved when Buncey was interviewing him aswell on his comeback and you got the feeling Bunce was shit scared off him and anything he asked Scott he had an aggressive comeback as if to say don't be so fornicating stupid. end of the day though he fucked it up for himself even though most feel the Spanish Authorities took it just that little bit to extreme with the sentencing.

There was rumours of him and Michael Gomez going to get a bout arranged at one point , that would've been good while it lasted although my money would be on Harrison. If Gomez was fully prepared would be a war though for a few rounds at least.

I remember spotting Harrison at T in the Park about 16 years ago when he was still world champ, he caught me staring at him, he turned around as I walked past him and for a second I thought he was raging but then he gave me a wave I was well chuffed

i agree, i really liked his performance vs walsh, obviously way far off his former best yet he was spirited and i only had it 97-94 walsh, and walsh was pushed

The loss to Liam Walsh proved that he's not going to get back to world level, or even close to it.

It strikes me as one of those cases of when he was a WBO champion there were several very high profile boxers about (Barrera, Morales, Pac Man, Marquez) and he managed to miss them all and wasted his time fighting some sub-standard opposition or fighters who were on the downward curve.

I wouldn't have give him a chance against the four legends mentioned above, Polo and Medina defined his true level (which was good) but it's the not knowing that must eat away.

I would imagine there were a few demons behind the scenes when he struggled with Medina. There could have been a natural rivalry with Alex Arthur I suppose, although Arthur was probably too hittable to beat Scott. Perhaps he'd have eventually been fed to Amir Khan at lightweight, but who knows.

I understand that the Glasgow card was cancelled do not know why

Last BIBA show was 24 th November no more shows scheduled think there more or less finished , only average 1 show a month now , Lee Mcallister & Tommy Jacobs probably promote most of the shows between them , even Lee Murtagh gone back to promoting unlicensed again .

I am sure Irvine Welsh is drawing material from Harrison for Begbie. He has now written a short story on Begbie , where he finds love and art. Trainspotting 3 may well draw on it too, pun intended.
