Bad fight for the box office build up, but good fight to give him an outside chance against Wilder.

Yeh, quite happy with TF tonight. I was just making a few mental comparisons with Ali's comeback in 1970, Quarry then Bonavena, Tyson's comeback is very safe in comparison, but if Fury is as good as we think he is it maybe it is enough for Wilder?
I mean he's as ready as he's ever gonna be for Wilder in my opinion. All the tune ups in the world ain't gonna change the result when he steps in there with Wilder. Wilder's knocking him out.
Wilder has a different style, he'll go looking for Fury. That suits TF.
He keeps his distance, and gets good pop on his shots though. I fully expect he'll lose every round of the fight UNTIL he catches Fury, but I think it's inevitable that he will catch Fury.

Still think Fury needs another 2 fights +
Wilder knows this, hence why he's so eager - once that belt is gone, its gone

I don't know that it matters. Fury apparently sells himself with his personality. He's never been entertaining in the ring.

Especially if Fury does that arms out by his sides "Look Ma, I'm Ali" type sh*t. Wilder ain't just gonna stare at him when he does that.

I'm sure the Wilder fight would sell. The sh*t talkery alone will sell the fight I imagine. Plus it has that other unspoken element that always helps sell big fights.

He doesn't sell, barring a decent but far from sold out crowd last time out which was down to curiosity
Put him in a big fight, he'll sell.
Like the Klitschko rematch?
What rematch? Come on, that's irrelevant. Knock Tyson if you will, but bring some substance to your argument.

Fury become much better in two months. He'll have enough time to prepare for Wilder. And he won't give him extra chances with too much taunting. Fury is ready, I believe.

Where? UK? US?
It is mathematics when two negatives make a positive, not boxing.

I mean he taunted Wlad. Wlad was just too chickensh*t to do anything about it.

I'm talking about Race.
Cooney vs Holmes, McGregor vs Mayweather...those were blockbusters because of the Race Factor as much as anything. It's an ugly part of the sport IMO, but it's a part of it nonetheless, and it'll help make this fight that much bigger because of the diversity in the fighters and their fans.

I'm listening on the fight on the radio - could Fury have finished the fight anytime after the sixth, as they implied?

Didn't look like it to me. He never noticeably hurt Pianeta.

I don’t think race had anything to do with Mayweather v McGregor and Cooney was a long time ago in the big white hope days. World has moved on and also a ten year reign by a white guy has taken away that thirst

It was a walk in the park for Fury, as most of us predicted it would be.
I think the main problem Fury is going to have with Wilder, is that he doesn't hit hard enough. I can see Wilder windmilling his way in as per usual.

I guarantee you Race had a lot to do with Mayweather vs McGregor. I personally know a bunch of Redneck white guys that don't give one single f*ck about Combat Sports that were WAY interested in May vs Mac....and it wasn't because it was Boxer vs UFC.
We'd like to think the world has moved past that kinda thing, but it hasn't.
