Don’t see why it shouldn’t nearly be sold.

Warrington: Time right for Frampton – Khan v Brook has lost its gloss, MayPac was too late
Josh Warrington believes boxers have an obligation to boxing fans to make the right fights at the right time, which is why he is readying himself to take on Carl Frampton at the Manchester Arena on December 22.
The Leeds Warrior points out that some fights have been left in the file marked ‘pending’ for too long and can lose their appeal as a result of the delay.
There is no danger of Warrington falling into that trap, what with signing up to face two-weight world champion Frampton for a first defence of IBF world featherweight title he won in May from Lee Selby.
“Even when the fight was first talked about a couple of my pals said I should just have a steady defence,” recalled the unbeaten Warrington, who swiftly rejected the suggestion. “The way I responded was to say there isn’t an easy defence at world level and if you think there is you are maybe taking your eye off the ball.
“Secondly, I want these fights to happen because I want to prove I am the best and I want to be No.1 – I am ranked No.2 behind Carl and I want to be first because this is my year.
“Frank (Warren) said this fight should happen this year, but we weren’t under pressure to do so. The fight could’ve happened next year in a big stadium showdown, but there is the risk of a fighter getting injured and prolonging that or the dates not matching, or a fighter getting beaten.
“We are at a high level and one punch can change a fight, so get the fights going now because it is what the boxing public want to see.
“That is why the sport it booming again because fights are getting made that people want to see. When fighters dig their heels in, like Kell Brook and Amir Khan, a fight loses its gloss.
“A few years ago that would have been exciting, but not so much now. People might still want to see it, but is it going to be the same fight?
“Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather boxed a few years too late, but we are both in our prime now, so why not get the fight happening and we are doing so now.
“We want to prove who is the best and I think that is how it should be.”

Josh looks like bruce Lee there.

Harrington needs to be careful he doesn't peak too soon, he already is clearly in magnificent shape

Harrington? Who’s that?
These are fights we need. Both clearly in their prime. Frampton lost once and that to a top 10 P4P LSC..
This IMO, regardless of Frampton being a favourite, is a 50-50 fight.
Re: Josh Warrington vs. Carl Frampton - 22 December 2018
Josh is a true professional.
He walks about at 10% of his fighting weight, out of camp, then just looks to shed that 10% as he comes into camp and towards fight night.
He doesn't go down the route of mass dehydration and killing himself to make weight,.
You are referring to Jimmy Harrington I'm sure. Jimmy whilst been a part of Josh team has no real input into Josh training, it's Josh dad Sean who is the trainer

I have to say.. this is FW’s best show in a loooong time..
Don’t mind that it’s PPV. But Hearn ruined it.

Agreed - it’s probably his strongest card since the original magnificent 7 show.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑24 Nov 2018, 11:44 I have to say.. this is FW’s best show in a loooong time..

I saw a boxingvoice interview with FW from a couple of days ago earlier. He seems very bitter at the moment. Rather than talking about how good his show will be he spent just as much time talking down the Chisora vs Whyte fight.

Read a comment earlier from Ed where he described Warrington Frampton as a 'trade fight'
Aye Eddie, an all British world title fight with one undefeated champion and a former two weight world champion! Some trade fight
What a fuckin weapon.

Eddie is off his head isn't he
some of the things he comes out with are beyond stupid
Re: Josh Warrington vs. Carl Frampton - 22 December 2018
I hate to say it, but he has a point. Ron Lewis aside I imagine the major media names will be at the O2 and it will have a higher buy rate.
I'm leaning towards Frampton via a messy late TKO or maybe a decision.
Re: Josh Warrington vs. Carl Frampton - 22 December 2018
I hope DelBoy is arrested next Friday for spitting Red Bull in to the face of an overzealous traffic warden then kissing one of the arresting officers on the lips resulting in a weekender
Yeah I fancy Frampton on a close decision. Will be interesting to see how Wareington approaches the fight. Constant pressure or try and box. I thought he showed some good skills I'd never seen from him before against Selby although Selby was dead at the weight.

There’s always more than one name representing a media company. This fight is the world title fight. True 50-50.
The Whyte-Chisora fight seems like a novelty fight to me.

I was there for the Selby fight, he out-boxed Lee, which sounds strange, but he brought his skill set together better and applied intelligent pressure. Selby looked like he thought boxing just meant wearing tassles and bouncing about a bit. Frampton needs to dig to the body early, open a cut and then grit it out IMO. I think I'll be live blogging it for Boxing News so I'll drop the link nearer the timeStuarty wrote: ↑12 Dec 2018, 13:23I hope DelBoy is arrested next Friday for spitting Red Bull in to the face of an overzealous traffic warden then kissing one of the arresting officers on the lips resulting in a weekender![]()

Really looking forward to this one, definitely my PPV choice for the 22nd. Hoping Carl gets over the line but he will be made to work for every round by Warrington I'm sure.
Re: Josh Warrington vs. Carl Frampton - 22 December 2018
You’ve got to hand it to him as a salesman, though. Eddie is very good at his job. I haven’t spoken to him for a few years but he was always personable and easy to talk to, for some people that goes a long way. Plus we complain about the so-called casuals yet we forget that they are looking for something different than us.
A so-called hard-core fans will want to see a great, well-matched fight or may aspire to be a boxer themselves. I reckon a lot of the people who follow this cult of personality aspire to be like Eddie, he’s a good-looking bloke who has plenty of money and is a success, a lot of people will look at that and think: ‘I’d like a bit of that.’ You can see it in the way some people walk, talk and act at the bigger shows.
Re: Josh Warrington vs. Carl Frampton - 22 December 2018
Warrington was simply brilliant against Selby. I'm just not sure he can do it twice on the trot, but I hope he can because he converted a lot of opinions with performance against Selby.
The only pundits/boxing media who said Warrington would win were Alan Hubbard and John Rawling.

Yeah totally agree. He beat Selby in more or less every department.MF DOOM wrote: ↑14 Dec 2018, 06:23I was there for the Selby fight, he out-boxed Lee, which sounds strange, but he brought his skill set together better and applied intelligent pressure.
