He said he didn’t want to make excuses after the fight but he did mention his knee. Also he said that he thought he put up a great fight and he’s a good boxer. Which he did.
His knee was definitely an issue, but it could be argued that he is a more dangerous fighter now that he lacks his previous ability to bore the audience to death.

Don't you think he mugged and posed far too much?

Where were the punches?

A few spurts here and there. Some decent right hand shots in the first 5 rounds, but overall Benavides didn't show much fire.

I also wish Crawford would quit sticking his tongue out whenever he gets tagged.

Somebody a little quicker and not as risk adverse as Benavides, is going to sever that tongue.

To add to what you said The first 5 rounds were very close, then I think it was 6 Crawford took over, did a lot of damage to the body and that took starch out of Benavidez , none the less, if the KO didn't hurt him too bad, I am sure this 26 year old fighter will be back better. I am not really a fan of his just trying to be objective and rate talent.

There was a point in the first 5 rounds when Benavidez did hurt Crawford to the body..
