Thurman is going that way a bit as well unfortunately. Had some injuries but doesn't seem overly motivated to seek out the best when questioned in interviews.
I must admit it is highly dissapoining regarding Thurman the last 2 years. And yes, he isn't calling out anyone, but at least he is being honest about what he is doing. He could blather on about Spence, Crawford, etc etc and face none of them. I get sick of guys like Miller calling out AJ, then fighting bum after bum. Maybe we will see Thurman fight the best again, when he is ready. Until then, I'm kinda refreshed not to hear a load of bravado for once.
Yeah fair points!

We’ll find out next week.

Tbh, I doubt it will be.

Canelo vs. Fielding was regular Sky.. don’t see why this should be..

I wouldn’t at all surprised if it is a PPV in the UK.

I think Hearn always wanted Khan’s final fight of the agreement to be a PPV. (Obviously Brook in the UK)..

All credit to Khan; he certainly isnt afraid to throw the dice against some impossible odds.

Unlike some other British boxers who have taken fights that were stacked against them and meekly surrendered at the first opportunity - Khan will give it his all until he is inevitably knocked unconscious again. Khan is without doubt one of the bravest fighters ever produced here in the UK.

He’s definately motivated.. money motivated for sure. As long as he’s still offered good money to take good fights, he will carry on accepting the offers.

Despite some results and whatever we can sling on him, he's more or less always a good watch!

He’ll get upside on PPV revenue in the UK.

I read about UK PPV being mentioned, but only by one source.

He’ll still get more money via UK TV rights due to his contract with Sky.

Good for him.
Hopefully he gets to keep the lot and the few brain cells he has left and enjoy a much-deserved retirement.

I think its too easy to dismiss him as just taking the money. Of course money motivates him; but it motivates every other professional, otherwise they would be fighting amateur for trophies not money.

There have been numerous fighters who have taken on fights and folded at the first solid punch, pressure, or feigned injury.
Khan will no doubt be in it and letting his hands go until he gets caught and knocked out in predictably devastating fashion ... how many guys having been switched off as dramatically as he has would now be gun shy when faced with a puncher - or take a knee and mistime the count??

Khan deserves our respect for sure.

True, not gun shy at all,he'll give it a good go and dive in with his hands down and get caught and go out on his shield.

I like that this fight got made over Khan vs Brook which nobody really cares about anymore. It made sense when they were the two best welters in England but Brook looks to be suited for 154 now.

Can't see people getting up at 4 am and shelling out £20, it'll be free to watch I think

I think so too. Khan will still earn tho for broadcasting rights in the UK. Regardless of PPV or not.

Brave or foolhardy?

While I agree Amir has balls (I know this for a fact, I've seen them on Skype), a lot of his career is self-delusion. Why is a guy with unavenged early knockouts to Breidis Prescott and Danny Garcia, and a brutal kayo vs Canelo, throwing himself into a fight with one of the p4p best? I suppose it is brave, but moreso madness.

Well we know why - it doesn't damage "the brand" to get KTFO by a HOF fighter.

Because apparently no matter how many times he gets splattered on the canvas by good fighters the grudge match with Brook will always be there at least, so why not keep making money as a Professional Punching bag to the Elite? :maybe:
