In a nutshell
How many more
Re: How many more
thats what i mean , i agree , that is why aj wouldnt want to fight ortiz , because he is very legit
Re: How many more
The Ortiz who showed up v Scott, Allen and Kaufmann is no big obstacle to Joshua. I'd like to see the fight tho.
Re: How many more
Miller as a top 5/6 HW only shows the lack of depth in the division.

Re: How many more
Any version of Ortiz isn’t a big obstacle to be honest. The fact he ran Wilder so close shows how average Deontay is imo, as opposed to how good Ortiz might be.
He’s just one of a handful of B level heavyweights that are interesting opponents for the top 3 but would struggle to beat them ( well, certainly struggle against Joshua and Fury )
Fact is, people are going to moan whoever the opponent is, unless it’s Fury or Wilder and them two are dragging their heels in sorting out there own rematch.

Easiest deal Warren would ever make wasn't it? Nearly 3 months on from the fight and it's no closer.lillywhite14 wrote: ↑17 Feb 2019, 11:10Any version of Ortiz isn’t a big obstacle to be honest. The fact he ran Wilder so close shows how average Deontay is imo, as opposed to how good Ortiz might be.

Re: How many more
That’s not really true in terms of promoting a fight though - we might know on here that Ortiz is a more legitimate challenger, but the casuals won’t know anything about him, possibly apart from the fact that Wilder has already ko’d him.
Miller is a much easier opponent to sell on PPV - he’s unbeaten, he’s American, and he’s a bloody big guy which is a novelty factor in itself.
Re: How many more
yep, if aj smashed ortiz the same guys who called for it wud suddenly call ortiz old
in fact already guys in this thread who say ortiz would be a really good fight in another thread trashed pov for being 39, even though hes younger then ortiz

and ortiz looked like ass when he had those fights under hearn, lol that it was some big avoid job, he had his chance to really get himself out there for an aj fight and what did he do? plod around for 12 rounds vs malik scott. ya great way to keep your monster rep and really get ppl excited

Re: How many more
Ortiz would have got an aj fight if he looked like a promotable monster. He was lucky to get Wilder. The only reason he did was because deontay was so desperate to get a respected fighter in the ring. I don't get the Eddie protecting Joshua rhetoric. He's already easily surpassed vitalis accomplishments and arguably wlads too.
