1. I don't think Hatton will ever fight for a world title unless it's a vacant belt and he fights an overmatched foe but if he ever does get a testicle transplant and fights for real, he'll be too far gone to win.

2. I doubt Witter will get the chance but if he does I can see him beating a top dog. It's clear hes better than Hatton. If he had the chances Hatton had, he'd definately not have run scared like Hatton.

Least he got in the ring AT SHORT NOTICE might i add.. more than what Hatton has ever done and Hatton has had 19 more fights on top of that

I used to be a Hatton fan and i got fed up with Witter all the time calling him out, but the longer Hatton fights bums the more i have had enough of him.

he still took the fight had a "bigger chance" as lirva put it than hatton, just responding to the post mate, calm yourself down.

With hindsight, that was a terrible career move from Witter though. He takes a fight at short notice against a more experienced opponent, stinks the joint out, and never gets shown on American networks again....yep, smart move.

yip, but was still a bigger chance than hatton has had!

no one forced him to take the fight.

for the record I hope they both do well and get the shots deserve.

As far as I am concerned Hatton has become a joke, I wouldn't go so far as to call him a coward as I respect anyone who steps into the ring, but having said that he's certainly not the bravest of fighters is he? as he has chosen to be a big fish in a small puddle rather than pitching himself into the sea with top oppsition. Worse of all Hatton has repeatedly said he wants the BIG FIGHTS! then gone on and fought another 30 plus lightweight!..... this latest fight is nothing short of a disgrace and the fans are beaing treated as fools.
The shame of it is that Hatton has got the talent to aim higher but I don't think he has the will now.... its the Gerry Cooney syndrome... he's fought so many soft touches I don't think that he beleives himself anymore that he can beat the best. 8)

Hattons not a coward in the normal sence of the word, but he does shy away , aaww fack it lets call a spade a spade.

Hatton is a boxing Bully, he's a man who wants, everyone to believe he's the best, when he never ever wants a 50-5- fight. Only wins he knows he's gonna have and nothing else.

This is a distinct lack of confidence in his ability by both him and his handlers.So i guess in a fashion if he only wants to fight people he KNOWS he can beat This simply makes him a BULLY and most bullies are Cowards.

He is also, has was earlier pointed out , a piggy eyed greedy fat little bastard who wants all the money , and don't give a fack for his fans who give it to him .

Only thing is though, that we can look forward to, simply the fact that the adoring nitwits in Manchester will eventuatly get sick off him and his bullshit, and stop showing up .

If the title go vacant, he will fitgh vs Cotto. And Cotto will win that fight, so is better that he tried now, becasue Cotto is a young boxer, that is getting experience, and in two year, will be unstopable.

I honestley don't think that Hatton will EVER fight a champion for the title and will only fight for a vacant title if he can fight at home against a 130-135 pound fighter who is 35-40.

Seriously though he has some talent but it is getting pathetic when we have been debating the same bloody thing for 3 years and he still hasn't stepped it up, If he was over here he would be the joke of Australian boxing, Green went to Germany to fight Beyer after about 16 fights, Mundine went to Germany after 12 to fight Ottke. I no you shouldn't call him a coward but if the shoe fits then?

Yeah, I still watch him live but all the tension has gone and if he got knocked spark out in the first round versus this latest spent-force he's 'fighting' I'd probably have forgot about Hatton by the following Saturday. I see him as a marketing project who's bluffed his way to the top of the rankings. He has a chance to win against all of the top guys, in my opinion, but he's in a dangerous position because he's left it so late that a) he's not in his prime b) he'll likely be finished after one defeat.

Hattons still in his prime but he won't be by the time he steps up (a very big if). Mitchell and Tszyu are both 3-4 years past their primes though. I think Harris is the best in the division to be honest. Good all rounder with power and a better right hand than Tszyu, which would be the KO shot if he ever fought Hatton. I hope the olivera fight isn't a farce due to Olivera having to boil down to make the weight. he hasn't fought at LW in over 3 years and failed to make the weight when he had a scheduled fight at LW a while back. After his fight with Tackie, he basically admitted that he was shot. The only reason Hatton picked him is because he beat Harris so now Hatton can boast that he beat the man who beat Harris. Disgraceful.

I was a massive Hatton fan two years ago. I still believe him to be a world class fighter, but my passion for watching him has diminshed.

yeah, why the hell did hatton withdraw from the wba mandatory? if its for a genuine(ish) world title why didnt he just take a pay cut? Who to say he wont just withdraw from the ibf mandatory position because warren says tszyu/mitchell is asking for too much? :x
