soko ktfo webb too and i thought he beat browne. thats the level of guys allens beat (in other words worse then sokolowski) to somehow now get framed as a vastly improved guy who is approaching the top 15 etc. for those ppl to thten call him underrated is funny
He's certainly not threatening to enter the top 25 even. He'll beat Price, but Price is a spent fighter.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Allen walk Hughie down and stop him.
Lol. They've sparred loads and the idea Allen could do anything with Hughie other than get shut out or stopped late is laughable.

The Price that was mowing down Harrison, Dallas, Skelton, McDermott etc would've made easy work of Allen but he's lost his confidence and there's a mental barrier there that he'll never be able to climb.
I dunno man. Price is definitely a much more skilled figher than Allen, but Dave has that durability that I think would always cause Price to panic and end up having an anxiety attack and then gassing out and getting taken out I think lol.

Hughie Fury would shut out Allen, I'd put money on it.

That's the way I see it going as well. Price boxing all cautious and winning then Allen getting to him! Price should bloody retire man!

I would be pretty confident in that too, and I'm no fan of Hughie at all.

great main event.....but as a support I wouldn't pay for this package.

The last few Price fights weren't worth 5p combined.

A very close fight. Allen has power and chin. Price has relatively better skillset and even bigger power. Allen is slower on his feet, easier to hit. Price has huge height and reach advantage, but he doesn't really use it, he's not hard to hit as well. And, as we all now, Price has a weak chin. Yet Price' power will be enough to KO Allen. I don't think, that this fight will last long. A one, who lands first, will probably win. I slightly favor Price.

he would hardly touch hughie
Allen is probably the most overrated fighter in British boxing. He’s nothing like a top 15 heavy. He’s not even a top 6/7 British heavy. Joshua, Tyson, Whyte, Chisora, Hughie, Dubois, Joyce and Gorman all beat him. Sexton is a little past his best but he’d stand a good chance if he turned up willing.

Allen will beat price 100 percent , his chin will see him through the early storm and he stops big price

Can’t see it myself Mercs. I don’t think he carries any power worth talking about.
His only real asset is his chin

Hughie survived Parker and Pulev. He’d take Allen to school imo

allen would never be matched vs hughie, that would be a great way to kill dave momentum and give ppl a reality check.

he will continue to be matched vs these faded tailor made guys unless a big fight can be secured for him...

Either way, I think Allen v HF it sells - and, frankly, you can't say that about many of Hughie's fights.
Yeah I see. Webb is awful and got laid out after Allen too. The body shot v Browne was the best thing I’ve ever seen from Allen to be fair, it was impressive, but body shots in general are always a difficult gauge of proper power.

I like Allen, he seems a nice bloke and I’m always very happy to see any boxer earn good money. I just don’t rate him one bit. I’m sure he won’t lose any sleep over it though! Good luck to him 👍

I think Hughie would shut him out completely. No way does it happen. Allen will know it too and keep well away especially if he’s sparred a lot of rounds with Hughie

cant see it being good for allen at all, it is bound to be an ugly and boring wide decision for hughie.

allen has soared recently precisely for being matched against guys who are the exact opposite of hughie. older faded guys who are decently 'fun' fighters themselves and are easy to get too. lets not forget not long ago he couldnt come close to winning a round vs young good boxer tony yoka

I don't think anyone would want their guy matched with Hughie., Nothing to gain, apart from the fact that headlines will attract some, but then people find out it's Hughie and NOT Tyson.

It would be the worst fight ever. Allen switches off vs fighters who can outbox him (Whyte for example) and Hughie would just jab and move and people will shoot themselves with boredom

At least Tyson used to turn up and do a song etc so it was good fun, but since the fall-out he doesn’t bother any more

I’m not 100% on Allen getting a result but I can see your reasoning because Hughie won’t have anything to worry him in terms of power so Allen can keep coming forward and he has it within him to get a stoppage...

no he doesnt, he wouldnt lay a glove on hughie and hes not a major puncher anyway. lenroy thomas was too slick for him, that had nothing to do simply with conditioning, allen pressed and wasnt good enough. tony yoka beat him around from the start, again, not conditioning

put him vs other pub brawlers and its a better style for him. vs pricey his chances are there because we know how vulnerably the big guy is
