But he sure is not saying anything now.
Interesting
Fighters are often advised to refrain from engaging with the media (due to self-incrimination) whilst legal due diligence protocols are underway. This is normal.

He was advised by the wbc to keep quiet.
You see how that worked

No I was talking about when the wbc told Whyte to keep his grievances between him and the wbc off of social media so they could mediate the grievance
Whyte refused and still bashed them publicly.

I just think of I was innocent the first thing I would do is deny the allegations

Ah, got it. I"m still shocked at this failed test and the grievance filed because of the gloves. Not a stellar day for British boxing.

Absolutely not. He's probably just using this situation for more leverage anyway. Hope he gets his $50 Million.

I wouldn't do it period the end.
Fight in America or a neutral country.
You can't trust anyone anywhere anymore.
Whyte and Hearn stacked the deck against Rivas.
Imagine what they would do for Joshua
Ruiz would need 2 knockdown each round and not get hit once to get a draw

Last night, there were no sources that would reveal what he tested positive for. But by now, the Guardian has revealed that it was Methylhexanamine. It was used in nasal decongestant products and as a stimulant in weight loss products.
Methylhexanamine is an indirect sympathomimetic drug that constricts blood vessels and thus has effects on the heart, lungs, and reproductive organs. It also causes bronchodilation, inhibits peristalsis in the intestines, and has diuretic effects.
I'm not sure whether it is banned primarily because of its possible applications as a diuretic agent, because of its potential as a performance enhancer, or because its potential for adverse reactions and death is somewhat high.
Since 2006 methylhexanamine has been sold extensively under many names as a stimulant or energy-boosting dietary supplement under the claim that it is similar to certain compounds found in geraniums, but its safety has been questioned as a number of adverse events and at least five deaths have been associated with methylhexanamine-containing supplements.
Whyte may have been using it as a masking agent, as a bronchodilator, or as a stimulant for weight loss; because all of these are purposes for which boxers sometimes take banned / legal supplements.

The BBC reports that Whyte could face an eight-year ban, since it is his second offense.

Where does it say in that guardian article, that he failed for the same substance that he failed for the first time? I'm not seeing it.

Plus the BBBoC will probably clear Joshua to fight with loaded gloves and with TUEs for severe muscle wasting disorders, while Ruiz gets two left gloves and no hand wraps.

The Guardian article doesn't say what he tested positive for, not now anyway, It just cites the Boxing Scene article, and neither reveal the substance.

It only mentions the previous ban

This is the key information currently left out. I'm sure it won't be an over the counter issue like his Jack3d stuff before as he surely can the that silly can he?

Everyone is purposely leaving the drug found out, perhaps until the B sample is tested. However, if you look at the Fury case it didn't come out for quite a while after the Hammer fight, actually managed to get the Klitchsko fight before it was revealed by UKAD if I remember correctly?
,Fury never technically tested positive did he !?
Fury had raised levels in sample A but sample B was tested and was totally clean, this was prior to him challenging for the world titles, he was then sat down with UKAD and told what foods to avoid and given the all clear to box on, it wasn't un till some years later he made those homosexual and pedophile comments they decided to dig up that case they had already let him go on some years previous .
By my understanding to achieve a positive test the athlete needs raised levels in both A&B samples to test positive, wasnt this why UKADA couldn't fine/or ban Fury and had to drop the suspension with both parties coming to an understanding and calling it "a back dated ban" but in reality they just dropped it.
Would Whyte just be given just the benefit of the doubt until his B sample is tested ??
You may be right about the circumstances as I can't remember clearly, but I was under the impression they settled it as a backdated ban as appeal could've bankrupted UKAD.

As pointed out in the article attached Stiverne listed the over the counter medication on the list supplied to vada.
He did not try to hide this. I'm not condoning his actions but in no way did he try to deceive the testing agency. He was just stupid.
Whyte should try the same approach

Seems like a similar substance to what Billy Joe had his fight with Andrade cancelled for.

Funny, the WBC was gonna sanction Stiverne vs. Povetkin for their interim world title and I believe it was cancelled a day before the fight when Povetkin failed another test (that's when he fought Duhaupas). Stiverne pissed hot before this I think. Can't remember.

Near 3 years later, and another interim world title fight being scheduled, TOOK PLACE, after failed drugs test. Likely scenario, Whyte will be stripped of the belt? Lose a ranking.
