So you think he's made the right decisions do you? sticking with Showtime come rain or shine. Some may think so and that's not a right or a wrong opinion, but the way I see it he's a beaten ex-champion approaching the end of his career with (hopefully) tens of millions in the bank, whereas he could have been a beaten ex-champion approaching the end of his career with a hundred or more million in the bank.
That means he could live comfortably for the rest of his life and so could his daughter and any grandkids etc.
Re: Should Wilder demand the rematch against Fury immediately ?
I appreciate the distinction but I am a long way from convinced.

Can he not get it built in that he fights the winner? That way he gets paid twice. Maybe take a knockover job in between so as to have a new KO for highlight reel.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑25 Feb 2020, 17:17Wilder can't take that. • Joshua = Matchroom/DAZN/Sky
• Fury = Top Rank/ESPN/BT
Do you see the problem Team Wilder has if they agreed to step-aside, whilst also attempting to obtain some sort of contractual written guarantee of being given a shot of the winner of Joshua-Fury?
Look at how many parties would need to be involved in the negotiation of such a complex deal.
Also, AJ won’t agree to face Fury without an immediate rematch clause.
So Wilder either has to take the Fury rematch now or he’ll be forced to wait 12 to 18 months for the opportunity to face Tyson or AJ.

If I were him I'd take the step aside money and wait 12-18 months. Like I said he's getting paid twice. But I can also see why he might want to jump back in.

You might be right on several fronts. He can get an easy few million for stepping aside and buy the time he would need to develop some sort of skill set outside his right hand.

Would he get paid set aside money? I imagine the deal is take the fight or don't, if he says no then he doesn't get the fight or any money.

He can't guarantee 40%.Ezzard wrote: ↑26 Feb 2020, 10:51Can he not get it built in that he fights the winner? That way he gets paid twice. Maybe take a knockover job in between so as to have a new KO for highlight reel.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑25 Feb 2020, 17:17

WILDER should take the 40% for the rematch. this is PRIZEFIGHTING---WILDER can't get the same cash anywhere else. many were saying AJ should not have taken the RUIZ rematch straight away.---AJ took the risk & won---and it is a risky business.

He needs to convince himself the costume did it, get a guaranteed 20 million or so, close his eyes and wing right hands. There is no sound thought otherwise. Unless he just retired.

According to Deontay he's not popular in the UK because we're all racists, never mind that Joshua has always been more popular than Fury and arguably so has Whyte been before Saturday. I'll meet you halfway Tony I'll agree he's not a genius.

Doesnt Wilder have like 8 kids?
How could he turn down a rematch that guarantees millions?
fornicate that. He should take another chance to land the big KO vs Fury and if that fails and he is healthy, little rebuild job vs inhouse PBC opponents and start stalking the next big payday Shannon Briggs style...
