GGG and Jacobs both need Charlo, while Charlo needs them. Those two have nothing to lose and not much time left. They can cash out and even more, while they are still credible. Charlo needs to defend against the best, only this way he can improve further and prove himself to be a great champion.

Canelo-Charlo sounds as a superb matchup and it'll be the biggest payday for Canelo, he'd better forget different yldirims and be back at the MW.

You know Oscar is gonna try every avenue to delay that fight and milk money fighting softer opposition for Canelo until there is absolutely nobody left, much like with GGG. But, yea the problem is there isn't. And maybe with Canelo possibly leaving GB we'll see if he actually wants to fight the best himself as suggested earlier and will do what he has to in order to make that fight happen ASAP. If he does that it will redeem his legacy in my book at least.

Very good fight, Sergey missing more punching power, but i liked how he stepped on the gas in final round. Charlo was using uppercut very effectively. Do you guys think Derevyanchenko can beat other Charlo? Bring on Canelo - Charlo.

Sergey's lack of footwork was the main cause of his loss.

Jacobs and Mall had heated exchanges a few months ago, so it would be a logical fight now. I doubt there is enough money out there for GGG and his handlers wanting Mall fight after what he did with Derevo.

I’d like Jermall to remain at middleweight and face Chris Eubank Jr. next.

The American is good enough to clean-up the middleweight division.

Golovkin could retire after the third Canelo bout, with the Mexican probably making a permanent move to 168lbs.

I don’t he feel he needs to face Danny Jacobs at 168lbs. It doesn’t advance his career in any way. And to be honest, I don't feel that Jacobs brings anything to the table.

Jacobs, like most of the big-name 168lb-ers, is with DAZN/Matchroom, which makes bouts more difficult to make.

The only reason why Charlo should consider engaging in a one-off bout at 168lbs, would be to face Canelo, but the Mexican doesn’t need Jermall.

Alvarez arguably has bigger fish to fry at the moment, for bouts that are easier to make (i.e. GGG, Smith, Saunders, Bivol, Beterbiev etc.).

I'm all for Charlo vs. Eubank but I'm not paying PPV money for it.

Saturday’s CHARLO DOUBLEHEADER main events featuring the world champion Charlo twins will air on SHOWTIME this Saturday, October 3 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.

WBC Middleweight World Champion Jermall Charlo passed his toughest test to date with high marks, earning a skilled and disciplined unanimous decision victory over Sergiy Derevyanchenko while twin brother Jermell Charlo unified the WBC, WBA and IBF 154-pound titles with a spectacular knockout against Jeison Rosario.

Jermell (34-1, 18 KOs) stole the show as he knocked out Rosario (20-2-1, 14 KOs) in stunning fashion just 21 seconds into the eighth round with a straight left jab to the body. Rosario struggled to get to his knees and appeared to have the wind knocked out of him as he was counted out by referee Harvey Dock.

Jermell became boxing’s ninth unified champion with his trainer Derrick James becoming the only current trainer with two unified titlists, including Jermell and Errol Spence Jr.

After seven completed round, Jermell held a narrow lead on all three judges’ scorecards: 66-65 and 67-64 twice.

Jermell recorded two knockdowns before his knockout. In the closing seconds of the sixth round, Rosario from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, went down for the second time as Charlo connected on a short left hook that stunned Rosario, who was saved by the bell. Rosario was also sent to the canvas early as Jermell scored a knockdown on a left hook to the top of Rosario’s head in the first minute of the fight. Rosario was taken to the hospital for observation following the fight.

In the first card main event, Charlo (31-0, 22 KOs) remained undefeated in an all-out war against top contender Derevyanchenko as all three judges were in agreement in scoring the unanimous decision. The scorecards read: 116-112, 117-111, 118-110.

The 34-year-old Derevyanchenko (13-3, 10 KOs) fought more than half the fight with a swollen right eye he suffered in the fifth round, and later developed another cut above his left eye affecting his vision in the later rounds. He had his best rounds in the sixth and seventh as he connected on a several key left hooks that seemed to daze Charlo. The game and determined Derevyanchenko landed 180 and threw 681 more punches than any previous Charlo opponent.
