It's almost like he's only still in the game just to occasionally, contractually screw fighters until he gets paid without putting on a show himself.

Talking about fighters who have had an interesting year, he's managed to do a tour of Europe whilst the rest of us have been stuck at home. Fought in Belarus in August, Ukraine and in September and Poland in October.

Therefore the head tells me leave this one out when betting this weekend.
I'm not dropping a great deal on this! But I think Lovejoy is clearly such an overweight fraud that Allen can't fail to stop him barring injury.

Are you a heavyweight boxer? That's interesting, if you are, you stand a chance, one punch etc - if you are just someone who weighs more than 14 st 4lbs then you're not and it doesn't sound like you are with all your self-confessed ailments.
Sounds to me like he is abit of a pasty to be honest carlos,think its in the name haha

Very difficult to do. I don't know of any publicly available register of contracts between boxers and promoters, and Lovejoy is absolutely nobody, so I dunno how they could have found out about the (alleged) contract with King even if they'd looked. I had no idea he was still involved in boxing in any capacity.

I think it’s difficult. The fighter has said he doesn’t have a promotional or managerial agreement so the lawyers don’t have anything to check unless there’s a central database to cross reference against.
If he’d said that he had a contract but was under the impression it had expired then they could have gone through that but it’s bloody difficult if the fighter isn’t honest.

Realisticly ,, does anyone care , i mean really , what you missing out on , a guy who mostly can't be bothered training , is only bang average at best even when he does train ,, and can't be trusted anyway going by the results and inquiry into his fight not long ago , fighting a gimmee fight against a guy who's trainer sat shaking his head , has he was telling him HOW to hit the heavy bag ..... C'mon , theres hundreds of guys out there who are in condition and will jump at the chance for the exposure , and give a 6 rnd war , for a fraction of the cost s

Lovejoy looked awful in that only bit of footage of him , wouldn't have gone 3 rounds .
As someone else said there must be a decent heavy in shape to step in at very short notice .
What about Eddie's new mate Babic , or is he just ppv material now ?

Agreed. The guy's ranked something like #440 by Boxrec, has bizarrely only fought in Tijuana and been having rematches with boxers he stopped in the first round. Fast Eddie would love this thread. Probably thinks he could serve up anything to fans.
