Re: Amir Khan calls out Kell Brook for fight in 2021
I could see Eddie pulling it off on PPV by adding Eubank jr, and a decent heavyweight clash. I think as part of a mixed bag of bouts, it might sell ok, the winner moving onto another crack at something probably, and retirement for the loser. Not that in an ideal world it should be PPV but just being realistic. For the life of me I can't see what other options Kell has got. Fair play to him for facing Crawford but he got dispatched decisively.

Re: Amir Khan calls out Kell Brook for fight in 2021
Amir Khan says he deliberately didn’t fight Kell Brook years ago to ‘hurt him’ and ‘teach him a lesson’, but insists long-awaited clash could happen now
Amir Khan has listed the reasons why he never fought Kell Brook in their primes.
After Brook won his IBF welterweight title in 2014, he stepped up his calls for a showdown with established champion Khan.
Brook had travelled to the US to dethrone Shawn Porter for the belt, but it was Khan who was already a far bigger name both in the UK and Stateside.
In 2015 and 2016, talk of a meeting between them intensified, but the bout never came to fruition and still hasn’t to this day.
Khan explained on the Last Stand Podcast: “The reason me and Brook never happened when we were both champions was because I was campaigning more in America.
“It’s probably one of the best moves I ever made in my career – to go to America. It gave me a global stance, it made me a global name.
“When Kell wanted that fight, I knew it was only gonna be a big fight in the UK.
“So I thought, ‘Okay fine, we’ll do it, but not just yet.’ I was chasing the Floyd Mayweathers and Manny Pacquiaos.
“And also, I was making more money in America to be honest with you, that’s why.
“It’s a business a the end of the day. So that’s a reason the fight didn’t happen.
“Plus at the same time, with all the negative things he was saying, the badmouthing he was doing, I kinda wanted to teach him a lesson a bit as well.
“He needed me more than I needed him, so that’s one of the reasons as well.
“When someone’s gonna talk so much trash, you’re gonna try to teach them a lesson. You wanna hurt them in that way.
“The way I thought would hurt him would be by not fighting him.”
Asked whether he believes people still want to see that fight now, Khan said: “Yeah, definitely.
“We’re both British and Kell always runs his mouth – I think a lot of people wanna see me just shut his mouth up.
“He’s always said he has the style to beat me and my speed of hand is not there anymore.
“He’s always got something to say, so I thought, ‘You know what? Maybe it’s time to kind of put this guy in his place.’
“One thing about the UK fans, they’d love to tune in.
“With this fight, we’ve got big fanbases. When there’s drama involved and there’s a bit of a story behind it, it’s only gonna sell even bigger.”

Yes I saw Amir Khan in social media training with Terrence Crawford.
Not sure what Amir can add to his game at this stage. His chin will always be a question mark and his amazing speed will be diminishing and 147 is the most stacked division in boxing
I wish him well of course as he was instrumental in the rise of British amateur boxing and for that alone he deserves a lot of love. Despite his occasional transgression ( we all have those to some degree ! ) he seems like a good hearted individual

I'm surprised Amir can still do 147. Hearn desperate to get Benn Jr in with him.
Benn jr hasn't even fought at British level. If this shot Khan trains and comes to win he'd probably still take Benn Jr apart.
What has Benn jr done to say otherwise? In fact what's Benn jr done to even deserve sharing the ring with Khan.

I can't understand why they don't. He also has only fought twice in two years. Talk of Khan or Porter seems ridiculous.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑08 Aug 2021, 16:04And there was talks of Porter too..peter barlow wrote: ↑08 Aug 2021, 12:28 I'm surprised Amir can still do 147. He thinks he’s passed that level, because he’s beating Fondu and Vargas.peter barlow wrote: ↑08 Aug 2021, 16:11I can't understand why they don't. He also has only fought twice in two years. I thought this was a thread dredged up from 2012
Had to check the first page.
Who cares?
That would be a one sided poll.
How do we tell these money grasping gimps that no one cares any more?

Re: Amir Khan calls out Kell Brook for fight in 2021
LOL I get it, but there's such a dearth of decent fights, I would be unironically excited if they announced it. Both are Brits too which makes it a grudge type match.
It's an easy sell: "The Chinny Hara,m Tranny Skype Wanker" vs "The Brittle Cheeked alleged Bisexual Ketamine Addict Machete attack Survivor" - Battle of the Flawed ex World Champs..... WHO will crumble first?
I'm definitely getting the PPV :-)
Re: Amir Khan calls out Kell Brook for fight in 2021
It will defo sell on UK ppv ,, I'd like to see it ,, then i'd like to see Khan have one last one with Benn . In fact i'd like to see Khan or Brook in with Benn ,, give the big headed little twerp a pasting and walk off into the sunset .
Re: Amir Khan calls out Kell Brook for fight in 2021
Likely by the time the winner (if the fight happens) gets Benn they’ll be even more shot and likely Benn would walk right through either.
It’s a battle of who’s the least shot fighter.

Brook looks desperate in that picture as though he is pleading with Hearn
