Re: Jermell Charlo vs. Brian Castano - July 17, 2021

amazing how 117-111 can be simultaneously ridiculous and predictable. Says a lot about the state of boxing.

What a fight.
I had it 116-112 for Castano! Could see a draw.
Derrick James told Jermell before 12th he needs a KO!

The judges had it 117-111 to Castano and 114-113 for Jerm then a draw card, then fair enuf.. it’s becoming too predictable now..

Fair decision, good fight. Coppinger obviously hasn't seen many fights.

Re: Jermell Charlo vs. Brian Castano - July 17, 2021
Great fight and great night for Boxing. Had Castano not gotten buzzed badly in the 10th round then I’d be very upset about the decision. But this was a super close fight with each round being tough to call. But this fight had that extra something in which ever second and every exchange was climactic and that’s exactly why it’s the greatest F’ng sport in the world and tonight was a treat for pure Boxing fans. I think a draw was the worst Castano deserved and I’m just relieved that they didn’t steal it from the kid. He did barely make it to the final bell though so keep that in mind when you bitch about the decision. It was a GREAT fight. A great night. F’ng give the sport some credit when they put a dandy together like this for us. I loved every second of it.

tbh, i thought the rounds were mostly clear to score, very rarely did i have to think much about it. the 11th was one of the only ones i thought was really hard to split
agree on the rest though, a very nice high level fight

I don't score anymore except 100% rounds. Granted, I'm drunk, but I don't think there was 7 of them. I mean, one of the worst cards ever? Couldn't imagine that in my top 100,000.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑18 Jul 2021, 00:40How did you score?Onetimeonly wrote: ↑18 Jul 2021, 00:39Lol, these 'experts' have obviously never seen anything like Everett/escalera or spinks/Burnett

Perhaps I'm really drunk. Lol, I thought the announcers were leading to a robbery call when it wasn't warranted.
