Could be right James.
Thing is, the younger Benn does have a high work rate and Granados has high milage. This combination some people (including myself) see as an eventual break down stoppage.

granados is past his best but nowhere near as bad as some are suggesting, he'll put up much more of a fight than lame ass samantha vargas

Yeah I def get that line of thought. But just didn’t expect the poll to be that one sided.

He’s getting him at the right time. Coming off an outstanding first round stoppage( ) his confidence will be high. He’ll probably try blitz Granados too and it might work. But he’s got to go in with a decent contender soon then we’ll see.

Was wondering why these two were hugging at the end of the 10th. Genuinely thought it was a 12 rounder?
Not that it made a difference but would’ve been nice for Granados to get to 21.1km for the evening.

Benn needs to have a plan B.
He fights like he thinks he is a Huge puncher .. he isn't.

Granados was a very tough and awkward guy. He wasn't bothered at all with Benn's punches.

Pre-fight I thing Granados would have looked perfect for Benn how he has his head upright and throws punches from a terrible stance .. but his toughness was underestimated and Benn's power overestimated.

I think it was a perfect learning fight for Conor. He was wild in the first couple of rounds, got caught more than he had in last few fights combined and will realise that the same tactics won’t work for everyone.

I think Mo Hooker would be a good next fight. I’d also favour him to beat Avanesyan now. Would be a class fight but I think I’d favour him now.

Avanesyan dealt to Kelly, and will probably do the same to Liam Taylor.
Maybe a fight or two first. :maybe:
I agree with Tony, Benn does not seem to have a plan B. He has been improving, but still only fights one way and guys at Avanesyan can work that out pretty quickly. I also think Benn doesn't have enough power just yet to step up.

I think Benn has more heart and stamina than Kelly and I also think having that fight last night will have helped him realise he’s not going to blow everyone away and needs to box more.

I also think Kelly suffered from inactivity before Avanesyan whilst Conor is fighting pretty regularly.

Anyway I can’t see the fight happening next, they should get Conor out again in December.

Someone like Mo Hooker, Custio Clayton, Abel Ramos. I still think they need a couple of step up learning fights before going after some of the big names of the division.

2 of those guys might be better than ava, i wouldnt call ava a big name in the divsion, if that's what you meant. he is a good euro level fighter. ramos and clayton would defo be nice opponents, but hookers a bit eh for me, done nothing at 147 and another guy that conor would be fighting after big names already been beating him down. lets get someone not in loser mode like the last few

who would the big names be. spence, porter, garcia, maybe ortiz, ennis, etc...........will be tough to get a win vs that type of opponent and who would travel. will defo be a longer term thing fighting any of them...

can see it being someone like chris algeiri (or van heerden) next.

nice looking record, can say theyve fought big names, experienced, but doesnt really present a big threat. went the distance with pacman!!!! gave khan a tough fight! can conor stop him??

Yeah - Ava’s not a big name in the division but he’s ranked well with all of the governing bodies and following Kelly will be semi well known in the U.K.

I don’t mind Hooker. He gave Ortiz a good fight and I think it would be a step up still for Conor but one he’d be expected to win.

Agreed on your list of big names. Can also add in Ugas now plus Crawford. Maybe even Thurman and Mikey Garcia. It’s a crazy deep division!

I wouldn’t hate the Algeiri fight but I’d rather the fights I mentioned. Algeiri isn’t ranked and hasn’t been active.

Benn hasn't got a jab of any substance. He ain't getting near the top without one. :TU:

He has come on for sure, and his youth, fitness and matchroom match making is going to take him so far.

But, no. He is not the future of British boxing.

No jab, combined with no power.
He doesn’t have the tools to keep a motivated opponent off him. And he doesn't have an iron jaw.
