I’ve just got a new 4K Smart tv and installed the DAZN app on it. Fair play, picture quality is awesome. Definitely more likely to remain subscribed now I’ve got this setup, my tablet is sh!t and buffered constantly.

If you’ve already got a smart tv, definitely worth seeing if the app is available on there for you. I didn’t even realise it was a thing until this morning when an advert popped up on the home menu page. Gonna buy some beers for tonight’s show now in celebration, can’t remember the last card I actually watched on a big screen, been watching on my shitty shitty tablet for far too long.

People on here were moaning when the monopoly was with Sky and were saying sh1t like ‘sky costs me £100 a month and then extra for ppv. If the PPV was £10 I’d buy it. Bo allegedly for £12 a month is so much better value.’

Now Dazn is £8 and there’s still reason to moan.

I can’t see how Dazn maintains this. Unless it has a huge subscriber base in America, Europe or Asia thats subsidising this.

I can’t see how Dazn maintains this. Unless it has a huge subscriber base in America, Europe or Asia thats subsidising this.

I think the moaning is mainly about the relative lack of content though, not the price itself. No-one complained about £12 a month for BN because there was so much stuff on there, we really did have a live card nearly every week (admittedly a lot of them were late night from around the world with the broadcast rights secured at late notice, rather than the domestic shows originally promised).

If DAZN can come anywhere close to BN, no-one will be complaining.

I bought a new Sony smart tV as everything seems to be on apps now and it's much better than trying to watch it on an iPad. I can't complain about Dazn picture quality etc on it so far

A lot of the apps you have on your tablets or phones for streaming are 99% in your smart tv’s and it’s so much easier to watch while comfortably sat on the sofa as well. Likes it’s on a regular cable tv channel.

A show almost every week? Come on, Just from reading this thread people are discarding the DAZN foreign shows, so it does seem one rule for one and one for another.

Looking at the schedule tho In the very recent past we have had stretches of 6 week periods with shows on DAZN every week bar 1 of those weeks, so 5 out of 6 weekends with a show, and every now and then a Friday night and Saturday night show in 1 weekend.

From 16th April to 12th June, a 9 week spell there were 8 shows and only 2 empty weekends. It might have been more actually because I haven’t included any Goldenboy stuff in there if there was any. For £2 at the time,

Once we come to December 31st I think it’s a safe bet that if we display the Dazn schedule, the Sky schedule, the bt schedule and any other uk tv schedule against one another from this weekend to the end of the year that Dazn will come out on top. My take on it is that Skys US content with top rank is better than it was but their Uk content will be pish compared to previous altho they will have the best single fight in AJ Usyk on ppv. Bt we will be lucky if we get a uk show every 3 weeks with them.

And then you look at the prices that I pay. Dazn £8, bt sport £24, Sky sports I think £20.

ya seeing ebanie bridges get robbery wins is worth quite a lot more than that even and isnt a totally farcial use of air time on these cards

jkjkj, turned out okay, shame about the robbery in the side show fight and the abrupt main even though, steve gray is sucking more each time

It was nice to see Hopey out again. 3 fights this year, pretty good considering everything.

Looking at what's scheduled I don't think I'll be signing back up soon.

Of course if there is a good card I will sign back up - but so far if last night's show is as good as Eddie's show get, then it may be quite a wait.

This was a good card on paper. Unfortunate the main event ended the way it did but that’s boxing.

I’ve cancelled now, my payment takes me up to mid September anyway so will get the Spain show included within that. Might resub for the Liverpool show.

Also get the Hrgovic show on Friday night. Dalton Smith and John Ryder are on it - not sure what kind of fights though.

I don`t think the Liverpool card looks any better than last nights card. The main event could be good; potentially Cheeseman v Williamson also .. but none of those contests are top drawer are they. The Shannon Courtenay and the other matchups look nothing exciting at all.

I don`t think the Liverpool card looks any better than last nights card. The main event could be good; potentially Cheeseman v Williamson also .. but none of those contests are top drawer are they. The Shannon Courtenay and the other matchups look nothing exciting at all.

We don’t have many U.K. fighters that can be in top drawer fights. We’re in a lull period for top British fighters who are well known (outside of the heavyweight division) but cards like the Liverpool one are good and are what I like.

Fowler/Smith - a really strong local derby.
Cheeseman/Williamson - a good 50/50 that should be a good fight.
Conway/Metcalf - another 50/50 at a decent level.
Willis/Charlton - another good competitive fight.
Dacres/Sokolowski - a decent fight for a novice heavyweight against someone who’ll be trying to win.

I just want good, competitive (involving 2 fighters trying to win) fights at a reasonable level. The Liverpool show delivers on that. Have FW, Mick or any other promoter put on a better show than that this year?
