I think Tyson may have ruined him a little bit. He said he boxed against Usyk to prove he wasn’t a big, stiff, bodybuilder. I don’t remember Usyk saying that about him…..

Unless Joshua’s fueling up on EPO & finds a gas tank the fight will follow a similar path. Joshua’s problem is he has to take Usyk out with a single punch or hurt him that badly he can’t defend himself & Usyk’s got an iron chin & doesn’t take many shots flush.
If he buzzes him a bit Usyk will just get on his bike until his heads clear & he knows he can do it because Joshua can’t fight at his pace.
If you go through all of Joshua’s successful fights at world level he’s fought old or unfit opponents. He’s either had it his own way or if he’s gone all out he’s been able to take rounds off to recover. Klitschko, Pulev, Whyte, Parker, Ruiz 2 etc. You can’t do that against Usyk, he makes you work for 3 minutes of every round. The only opponent that’s been able to go with him is Breidis. He was too fit for the rest of the cruisers never mind someone 2 or 3 stone heavier with a suspect engine.
Unless he lands that Hail Mary shot it will follow the same pattern as the first fight as he can’t sustain his attacks. If he does force the pace & go looking for a knock out my guess is he’ll be the one who gets stopped probably on his feet taking unanswered shots.

“I think April is realistic for that fight,” Hearn said. “Before you know it, it's going to be February and these fights take a lot of organizing. For us the preferred date and venue for that fight will be the UK, in which case we would have to do the fight outside, so we’re not really interested in doing that fight in March.
“AJ has been training relatively solidly since the fight. Realistically if you start your training camp in February, even April becomes quite tight but that is the preferred date for the fight and I think that’s realistic.”

I really feel like this will end up late may early June at Wemble.
God I hope not, but the way Eddie is talking it’s like “we want April but are cutting it fine”, next thing it will be pushed to early may, then once it’s there they will think, we’ll if we just wait for EPL to end and weather to fine up we can do 80,000 at Wembley.

I didn’t even think about this, but what platform is this card even on in the UK? They have to decide that befor they set a date, so befor they set a date there is zillion dollar negotiations still having to happen….

But you see my point... sure this fight is of a rematch clause, so the fight itself must happen, but eddie is acting like they are sorting out dates and venues... but surely you have to sort out UK broadcaster first... thats the 20+ million dollar question, if you anounce a date and venue before making that deal surely you mess up a bit of your bargaining.
I dont even really understand how you could have a rematch clause without the broardcast deals and venues, and a date range established to be honest...
like what if AJ made a deal to be on free sky tv this fight does usyk just have to cop a massive pay cut because his percentage becomes way smaller?

ya usyk's fitness is really really good, it's why i didnt buy some of the pre-aj fight arguments that were coming out about joe joyce wearing him down, usyk's so fit that's super tough to do, and his foot work and skills are good enough to buy him recover time and minimize damage if he takes some good shots as well
aj either needs a clean ko, or to badly hurt him early and spook him the rest of the fight. its not an impossible task for aj, but defo i think he's up against it hear usyk is a very dedicated pro who will come ready and has always performed in his big fights.....one of the guys who always brings it for the big occassion so far

Yeh. Doubt anything is even scheduled yet for Sky and DAZN at that time. Hearn is clever, he’s probably already spoken to AJ and the different broadcasts and plus if it’s PPV it won’t matter anyway.

Joshua is a good boxer but Usyk is better, I don't know if Joshua can adjust against Usyk in their rematch, I can not see joshua can.
I can say that Fury vs Usyk is more interesting.
Fury vs Joshua will be just like Joshua vs Usyk 1, unless Joshua will make a major change.

What if AJ did a Chisora and went after him. Del actually made it a closer fight, I think.
I really don't want AJ to retire. Still think Joshua-Wilder is a dream match up.

I actually think he'll do better in the rematch. Might get stopped, but I think he'll show more. Career-wise, he's no other choice.

I hate this. he doesnt even neeed to use to to study tape, he just needs to see he clearly lost and needs to change stratergy.
Either swarm early, pretend its a 4 round rumble. Or just be patient but not winning a round trying to set up that one dinger (bit of a wilder special).

i'd guess in reality josh and his team just rewatch rounds 5-7, with a couple fluffing him while the spanish guy yells 'brilliant, aj , brilliant!
