Dont be fooled by franks offer, Frank is trying to make a rematch 2 months after a guy was badly hurt. Silly stuff. even if approved to fight skeete would get basicaly no good sparing.

Skeete was not badly hurt - he wasn’t even on wobbly legs.

Skeete was not badly hurt - he wasn’t even on wobbly legs.

he was hurt enough to stay down for 2 mins and not relise that if he stayed down he would win by DQ. wobbly legs and concussion dont always go hand in hand. you can get your brain shaken without getting your equilibriem scrambled. Hurt enough that he should be giving his brain a little rest.

Well if Bradley is hurt, he shouldn’t take the fight in February. Sheeraz is rightfully getting a ton of stick, and needs to clean up his mess, so he will probably have to wait a bit for when Skeete is ready if that’s the case.

Yea look obviously i dont know, looking fine and being fine is very different. growing up iv hit my head carried on my day, only to be spewing and groggy 3 days later (multiple times).. Dont have to be stagering around to have a concussion, dont have to have a big concussion to warrent rest. But as i said i dont know how he is.

my problem is i feel frank is going to pressure a date too soon, then hope skeete dosent take it, then he will slowly start implying skeete knew he was getting beat and that skeete was fading befor the foul and thats the fair result and blah blah... and eventualy just deny any injustice.

Robert Smith is supposed to be on Talksport on Jim White's show after 12pm. Not sure if it's live or whether he'll be fielding questions from Simon Jordan, who has called the BBBofC a boys club.

There's no way Skeete wants a rematch, he was overmatched and did well enough to avoid a pasting in the first half, but the writing was on the wall. He was gassed, the knockdown came because his legs didn't have enough in the tank to maintain the distance he had. Getting knocked out in controversial circumstances & claiming some kind of moral was the best he could have hoped for.

Anyone who's seen me post on here knows there isn't a bigger critic than the BBBoC than me, and I could point all kinds of flagrant rule breaches and scandalous decisions over the years.... i mean, Terry O'Conner literally picked Nathan Cleverly up and put him on his stool when he got pasted vs Kovalev.... giving a whole new meaning to the term 'saved by the bell'. But rhe Skeete one wasn't that bad, it's entirely within the ref's remit to decide how to deal with a foul - in this case he took a point. Arguing that Skeete was hurt enough to go further and for it to be a DQ is entirely subjective. It's like arguing a footballer should have got a red for a bad tackle instead of just a yellow - at the end of the day the ref made a judgement call. Get over it.

It was that bad. It was a clear dq. Brad was winning easily. Yes, he was getting back into it, but if he took a knee, which he did, he could maybe have got away for the last few rounds. He didn't deserve getting hit three times whilst down.

You're right, he didn't deserve it, and I hugely respect that he didn't make a dog's dinner of it like some fighters might have done - like Dirrell, or Charlie Edwards, or Amir Khan. I like fighters to be fighters, that's what makes it the greatest sport.

Well shit now we get to see if the Uzbeki boxing board of control is better.... Madrimov just got a stoppage victory 3 mins and 5 seconds into the round, That should not be possible.

Dont expect much from the Uzbek board, But WBA have to redo that eliminator surely.
