I think Pride Park was hugely ambitious.

Must be bliss being a young fledging Queensbury fighter, saving those miles on the clock for the future

Has Warren even got a single show scheduled??

I don’t think so. I’m surprised this show has been cancelled and they haven’t just found a replacement opponent.

His Friday night York Hall show was cancelled without much word about it and now this.

What’s happened to Callum Johnson? Why are they keeping Yarde on the shelf for so long? They’ve got some good fighters and plenty of really solid fights can be made.

Well the fights postponed ain’t it.

Maybe they don’t need to postpone long or it’s not worth having Parker fight anyone else.

They could've easily got Cacace an opponent last week but put Essuman/Tetley on because it was a bigger fight and in doing so patched off the show that was meant to be last Friday altogether

As for Yarde, Warren's explanation of the whole situation is baffling, he could've easily fought on the Fury/Whyte card but instead is gonna sit on the shelf waiting on the Beterbiev/Smith Jr winner and that fights not even confirmed yet ffs, for someone as experienced as Frank some of his match ups and plans are moronic, having the likes of Saunders and Parker fighting at football stadiums instead of just an arena

TBF Cacace said they tried to get 3 opponents in after they lost Romero.

The Yarde situation is very bizarre, and reading between the lines of Warrens last interview I saw, he admitted that he needs to fight and would be speaking to Tunde, so it’ll be interesting what the update is.

Zach Parker-Demetrius Andrade Won't Go Ahead at Pride Park

The postponement of Zach Parker’s interim WBO super middleweight fight with Demetrius Andrade means it will not take place at Pride Park, home of Parker’s beloved Derby County football team.

Frank W, the promoter, said that around 15,000 tickets had been sold for the fight on May 21, with a bigger boost expected as big ticket seller Nathan Heaney was due to be added to the undercard.

But Andrade, who has won WBO titles at super-welterweight and middleweight, pulled out of the fight with a shoulder injury, which effectively ends the ability to stage the fight at Pride Park.

Because of the World Cup in Qatar in November and December, the new EFL season will start in July. Warren said he saw the Andrade fight as a big step towards building Parker’s name.

“Once we have the medical we will see where we are,” Warren said. “The problem is we are not going to get into Derby again because of the football season. For me it was all about going to Pride Park.

“People were asking why we were bidding all that money. It was because I thought that if we got him into Pride Park we could build something in the Midlands with him. He is capable, he is a good fighter.

“Unfortunately, what has happened has happened. We had done about 15,000 tickets, which at that stage of the game was brilliant for a fella.”

Parker, 27, is unbeaten in 22 fights, but had fought in small halls for the majority of his career. He won the British title with a controversial split decision win over Darryll Williams in 2018, fighting for the majority of the contest one-handed after dislocating his shoulder.

The No 1 position in the WBO rankings with a stoppage of Rohan Murdock in 2020.

He had his first fight after signing for Warren’s Queensberry Promotions in March last year with a two-round stoppage of Vaughn Alexander. He has since produced impressive stoppage wins over Sherzod Khusanov and Marcus Morrison.

“I never knew who he was before we signed him, he was under-promoted,” Warren said. “When I saw him, I couldn’t believe we had missed out on him before.

“He's a great fella to work with.”

Andrade withdrew from the fight after suffering an injury to his right shoulder, although it is still not known how serious the injury is.

The American had appeared at the press conference to announce the fight via Zoom after it emerged his passport had expired. He last boxed in November when he made the fifth defence of his WBO middleweight title stopping Jason Quigley in two rounds. WBO rules gave him the chance to claim a mandatory spot at the weight above.

It was recently announced that Andrade was parting ways with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom camp after Hearn admitted he had been unable to deliver the fights that Andrade wanted.

“If I can’t get him a fight, he’s wasting his time with us,” Hearn told spam.com.

The fight’s completely off. The WBO have withdrawn their sanctioning for it to be an interim title fight and have returned Frank’s deposit.

I assume it’s because Andrade needs surgery so will be out a while. Strange though that the WBO didn’t announce any other plans.

What’s happened to Parker?! I know he was impacted by Andrade’s injury but it’s crazy that he doesn’t have a confirmed fight date and we’re in August.

This whole facade is a criminal waste of Parker's talent.

If they'd got Parker a shot at the European title I'm sure he would have beaten pretty much whoever was in front of him and then set about cleaning up.

The EBU is a nice little earner (especially with a home fan base)and after a few defences I'm sure a world title would have come long anyway.

Still W@rren knows best

Rumours that Parker will be back out Nov 5 as the main event.. No news if it will be Andrade.

Possible co-feature to be Liam Davies vs. Ionut Baluta.

Either Nottingham or Telford.

Parker was coming along great last year. He was active with 3 wins and whilst his opponents weren’t too good, he was looking like a really good fighter.

Then he sits on the sideline for 12 months with seemingly no injury. I know Andrade messed him around by pulling out but it’s stupid to lose a year of his peak earning potential and then possibly go in to his world title fight being inactive.
