What should happen isn't reality though. Even without the illegal streams, it doesn't have the market value of a 38 year old Floyd and 36 year old Pac. Us boxing fans know what it is, but the the casual sports fan may not see it the same. Both Floyd and Pac were crossover stars. Neither Spence or Crawford are well known outside the boxing community and probably not at all outside sports in general. My mother knows who Floyd and Pac are. She wouldn't have a clue who Spence or Crawford are.Bandog wrote: ↑02 May 2022, 13:43It should potentually, but we live in an era of illegal streams, so that is a big loss. Promotion needs to be top notch and months ahead of time...like signed in May and fight in December.IKSRTFO wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 12:13I doubt it'll be close to 2 mil. I don't see it doing too much over a mil if that.Bandog wrote: ↑25 Apr 2022, 12:03 I'd go out on a limb to say this fight would do about half of what Floyd/Pac did, which says it will be huge. 2 million + buys I'm guessing, but only if it happens by the end of this year. This is one of the very few I'd buy, because it's hard to guess who wins, and both are at the top of their game.
This is a better fight, with superior boxers than a 2015 38yr old Floyd or 36yr old Pac, plus it's a 50-50 fight. Most big fights now are easy to pick compared to this one. It doesn't have the crazy blind Pac fans or the Floyd hate fans factor though that bet like idiots.

these guys do low hundreds of thousands of numbers, putting them together makes it a bigger fight, but not nearly 10x bigger for ppv sales
they are big within boxing but arent mainstream fighters

Re: Errol Spence Jr vs Terence Crawford - Anytime anyplace anywhere
Last September, it was reported that Terence Crawford was being advised by (alleged mobster) Daniel Kinahan and MTK Global.
MTK Global, which has now ceased all operations, has previously been officially involved in the staging of Bud’s events.
Just over a month ago, it was reported that the PBC had agreed (in principle) to offer Terence Crawford a two-fight deal, which was prior to Bud’s ties with Daniel Kinahan and MTK Global being severed.
That rumour quickly died, but two days ago, Terence Crawford told ESPN that he wanted to work with the PBC, claiming that there are no longer any contractual, business or political hurdles preventing this from happening.
Therefore, if Terence Crawford is willing to agree to compromise his lofty payday demands, I really do think we’ll finally get to see Bud joining the PBC and being provided the opportunity to face Errol Spence Jr.
Terence Crawford literally has nowhere else to go, because Matchroom and Top Rank aren’t interested in working with him.
He either accepts the deal from the PBC or he may as well retire, because Al Haymon controls both the 147lbs and 154lbs weight classes.

Like I've said before, it will happen before the end of the year.
