Hughie has his training camp in Cannes.

he just gained so much man strength that they thought it would be unfair on hunter to fight

Not many the last time I looked. They’d set it up for what looked like 6,000 but no idea how many of those 6,000 actually sold.

Hardly any. Ricky Hatton in Manchester with Barrera didn't sell..... so who did they bring in to boost it? TV gold Hughie himself.

Might be a few more fights cancelled in the near future, nobody will be able to afford the petrol for the drive to the venue let alone a ticket to get in

Yep. People are looking to cut back and a night at the boxing, for any show really, is expensive all in. There were few people at the recent Buatsi/Richards show, very few at the Riakporhe show and Frank hasn’t sold many outside of Fury all year.

Hughie Fury vs Michael Hunter: New October date confirmed for WBA heavyweight title eliminator

Hughie Fury vs Michael Hunter was initially set for July 2 but had to be postponed due to Fury illness; Fury and Hunter will now fight on October 29 in a WBA heavyweight title eliminator; Fury: "I'm 100 per cent looking forward, for the opportunity for the world titles."

Hughie Fury has confirmed that his WBA heavyweight title eliminator fight against Michael Hunter has been rescheduled for October 29, live on Sky Sports.

The original fight between the heavyweight rivals was due to take place in early July but had to be postponed due to Fury illness.

Fury, whose cousin Tyson is the current WBC heavyweight champion, has now confirmed the new date.

"There's nothing worse than having to pull out of a fight," Fury told Sky Sports News. "My path is now direct for Michael Hunter, and then onto the next."

Responding to comments from Hunter about this being a stepping stone to fight Tyson Fury, Hughie added: "He can say what he wants - at the end of the day he's getting knocked spark out.

"I don't want to devalue him, he's a good fighter and obviously no one wanted to fight him. But these are the fights I want. We'll see what he's got to bring on the night.

"I'm 100% looking forward, for the opportunity for the world titles

Fury is 26-3 in his career while Hunter is 20-1, with his only defeat coming at cruiserweight against Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury vs Hunter will be a fortnight after the next Boxxer series tournament, which has been announced for Leeds on October 15.

I really don't get why this is on in Birmingham, just like I haven't understood a lot of arena shows recently. Do tv insist? Liverpool, Leeds and this would all fit inside half of one arena.
