I am in boxing gyms or at amateur shows all the time. I'm also on every promoters mailing list. The only one any good for free tickets was allegedly and it's 'competitions'. Top seats as well.

Big Fraze seems to be sticking around the 19.5 stone mark.

“You could stop anyone in the street and they wouldn’t have heard of Lawrence Okolie…”
Weren’t you his long time promoter!!!!??
Not as clever as Hearn thinks that is. A promoter who can't promote is how that comes across

I would say Okolie’s profile is about where you’d expect it to be, given his boxing style and level of charisma.

All the sniping on all sides is so dull. In the first 3 months of 2023 we've only been given three top level fights by all three promoters put together. Really poor and they all need to do so much better for boxing.

Okolie just doesnt bring anything - so many dull fights even when he gets the stoppage .
Maybe him and Riakpore ( again a bit dull ) will build a fight later this year and they can both get some PR from it .

Re: Lawrence Okolie vs. David Light | Sky Sports - 25 March 2023
One amateur stoppage loss 8 years ago doesn’t make him chinny and 12 stoppages from 20 pro fights doesn’t say he can’t punch.
I’ve seen a couple of contests, he’s decent but not likely to win this. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him make the full 12.
Lol Mr Automatic Contradiction rears his head again
He wasn’t stopped he was KO’D in a round. Very rare for the amateurs.
And he has some decent stoppages true, but has not fought at a high level.
You say you wouldn’t be surprised if he lasted the distance… well if I’m offered a price of evens or longer that he gets stopped, I’m jumping on that, that’s how I view it
EDIT - just checked, Okolie by stoppage is 3-1 on, which is what I’d expect
Ok
LOL you were right. I guess I forgot how safety first Hugkolie is lol….. and so did the bookies.
Okolie on points would’ve been a nice return

Generally the winning bet is the nice return.
Re: Lawrence Okolie vs. David Light | Sky Sports - 25 March 2023
He’s so bitter & twisted. International distribution? I’d love to know how many Americans are sat watching Dazn cards in the afternoon from the UK. Is he seriously trying to suggest that been on Sky Sports News all week & getting your profile boosted that way is worse for him than Americans been able to see his fight but more than likely choose not to?
I’m sure Dalton Smith & Zelfa Barrett are inundated with messages from all the Yanks & people watching them from around the world on Dazn.
Dillian Whyte fights regularly on Dazn, he’s a nobody in the States.
Okolie’s market is the UK & is always likely to be. You very rarely get a cruiserweight title fight of any note in the states & Anderson aside there’s no top heavyweights coming through from North America so nearly all Okolie’s heavyweight fights will be over here as well.

Ah well I’ve seen more of Light than most and knew he was tough. Okolie CAN punch but often smothers his own work and after a long time out I wasn’t expecting a classic performance.
