Exactly what I meant by a more disciplined Okolie. If he doesn't modify his approach he may face the same humiliating result as the first fight.

I’d imagine they will be. Surely though Sky have the ability to say no?!

CBS was interviewed yesterday. He said that Okolie had activated his rematch clause but Sky were against the fight happening as a main event.

Credit to Sky if true.

Puts Shalom in a real awkward spot though. So much for Okolie being the poster boy of Sky Sports boxing.

CBS said if it’s not Okolie then it’d likely be Masternak which I actually think would be a very good fight. There was lots of talk a few months back that Masternak was paid to give up his mandatory spot to Riakporhe in exchange for a fight with CBS.

I don’t mind them in theory but they seem to be used far more frequently and there needs to be some sort of arbitration in there in that a 3rd party can overrule it.

I didn’t have an issue with AJ rematching Ruiz or Usyk, or Joyce rematching Zhang but when fights are so one sided (Haney/Kambosos) or the first fight is dire (CBS/Okolie), someone should be able to step in and say it’s not happening.

Agree, gov body’s should ban them. It’s their belt, just have as a condition you can’t contract rematches… they should also call them on controversial judging.

Its not like its news that Okolie is attractive as a bad case of piles so why would SKY inflict him on viewers again ?

Boxxer went to a lot of trouble to sign Okolie, SKY had him lined up as their face of boxing, so fk knows what they where thinking but they went into this with their eyes wide open - Now don't want him headlining.
