Regis Prograis vs. Danielito Zorrilla | DAZN - June 17, 2023
Re: Regis Prograis vs. Danielito Zorrilla | DAZN - June 17, 2023
I wonder what guys like Lopez and Catterall thought of that?
I couldn't see it as a draw so I'm calling robbery.

Yea other way round Ed would be saying “it was a defensive clinic, hardly got touched, mayweather-like performance…margaret thatcher wrote: ↑17 Jun 2023, 23:43 he only wants standing and banging when it's his guy coming forward

Horrendous scoring from 2 of the judges, I had Zorrilla winning 115-113, I've no qualms with Prograis getting it, nothing happens most rounds, Zorrilla scored a perfectly legit knockdown in the 1st, textbook right hand counter dropped Prograis sweet but ref somehow missed a fairly clear KD, Prograis then knocked Zorrilla down in the 3rd with a left and you thought that might spark him into life but he just reverted to type, both tried to play counter puncher and it made for a boring spectacle with neither man doing anything, no plan B or upping the tempo by Prograis, Zorrilla was very awkward and negative, you could say southpaw Prograis struggled with the orthodox stance of Zorrilla as well as his height
Zorrilla wasn't exactly bossing it but you could say he was implementing his game plan on things and Prograis couldn't get to grips with him, I thought Zorrilla won but not surprised Prograis got it, he's the champ fighting in his hometown but they scores, sheesh

The 118 judge gave 2 of prograsses best rounds to zor…. Which means he didn’t score any of zors good rounds to Zor….. after seeing that I’m willing to say that’s the worst card iv ever seen ahaha.

Like I said in another post. None of these top guys at 140 are elite. It's a deep division and the top 10 are very competitive, but just no real elite players (aside from Teo or Haney if he decides to move up). The real talent is at 135 and 147.
Any of the top 5 guys at 135 move up to 140, they beat everyone in the top 10.

absolute ridiczlous judging bullshit weekend after weekend in the most high profile fights.
ir gets out of hand for real.
box8ng would need a completely new approach to scoring fights
with all the technology it wouldn't be a problem to come up with something that ensures objective and fair decisions.
of course they'd have to fornicate off completely with that goon panel for hire in the front row.

I thought Zorrilla was bossing that fight. The amount of times he made Prograis miss was almost hard to watch. I actually think Reggie has experienced his first bout with father time not on his side. His timing and distance were way off, one of the first signs that show in an aging boxer. His power was still there and the KD was a peach.
The other top guys would have watched that performance and smell the blood in the water- Regis Prograis is prime for the picking.

I’m sad if this is Prograis on the slide. Always loved his style, and I think both that he could have been a little luckier with the cards vs Taylor and that he hasn’t quite had the chances his talent seems to deserve.

Same mate, big fan. And I agree, I think he could have done more had he got the chances. He still is brutally powerful, and definitely puts the work in at the gym.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑18 Jun 2023, 16:44 I’m sad if this is Prograis on the slide. 34 is unfortunately old. There are of course exceptions who box well for longer, but there is an overwhelming amount of the littler guys who don't.
I might be writing him off on just having a bad night against a slick mover, but he did have 12 rounds with Zorrilla moving into his left hand, almost taunting it, and he failed repeatedly to time and land it.

Prograis won on my card 8-4 but the point someone made about using 10-10 rounds is a good one; however, are 10-10 rounds permitted anymore ?

dani won it for me, had prograis looking lost pretty much all fight, was landing most of the little that landed i thought too.
also shoulda got credit for a kd although with the dumpy judging it wouldnt have changed the result
pretty sure 10-10 rounds are allowed, they just rarely get used in the us. however they are extremely common in many other parts of the world
