I have never said he was anything like Pernell Witaker. Period.

Do you really think that is a fair representation of what I said about Williams?
We were really talking about Sonny Liston, and I mentioned several quality opponent's that Liston beat, including Williams. He brought up the amount of times that he got dropped/stopped.
I pointed out that the only guy who did this to Williams anywhere near Williams prime was drum roll please........ Sonny Liston, whom we were talking about.

He always ducks it when I bring that up. I never said he was anything like Pernell Witaker. Never said Williams was a great fighter.
Have never started a thread about Cleveland Williams,
margie has started at least 5 on Williams

We aren't even talking about Williams now and he is bringing him up.
Hes making fun of you dude
Just like we were all joking about kevin mcbride - nobody seriously thinks mcbride is any good he got blitzed by mike mollo
He makes it look like I actually said it. And he wasn't joking about McBride.
bruh, we were pming laughing at you about it, are you a f@cking robot or something

There probably isn't a gigantic difference in terms of ability though as a lot of Foreman's opponents were basically the size of cruiserweights and Usyk fought in a strong era of cruiserweights. Its reasonable to favor Hunter over Lyle or Breidis over Moorer in actual fights.

Chuvalo, Frazier, Norton, Lyle and Moorer is not a deep heavyweight resume by any means.
:oo

Wow. I mean, wow.
Stop being stupid. You lack of respect for Foreman's accomplishments and resume has no other source than either deep seeded hatred or utter boxing ignorance. Thank you for listening. :OhYes:

I don't see anything controversial about pointing out Foreman's heavyweight resume doesn't have a lot of depth and drops off massively after Frazier. He for whatever reason missed out on many of the top contenders in the 1970s and was very selectively matched in his comeback. Its also worth pointing out Lyle and Chuvalo were very inconsistant.

Frazier is a very good win but after that the quality of wins drops dramatically.

Not saying that everyone wasn't serious I am saying marge was serious. go back and read the thread. He says it was a hilarious joke for 10 days. 1 And he didn't saying it was a joke until oogbie started saying that he must be joking. Only then marge says he was joking. Read scopios's comments. he thought marge was serious, he wasn't the only besides me.

of course i didnt say it was a joke straight off, otherwise it wouldnt have been a joke. that really shows you have no understanding of humour, your designer should program some more fun into your algorithm :yay:

i also said mcbride had great movement and speed too, i must be serious about that as well! now compare that to my comments about mcbride before the thread:

Pointing out that Foreman beat 5 top 10 ranked opponents and that its considerably less than that beat by Lewis Tyson Holyfield etc can't really be a joke unless you somehow believe the rankings are badly off in the 70s and 90s and guys like Savarese Stewart and Dino Denis were somehow top contenders despite all the evidence to the contrary. I guess its possible but it doesn't seem likely. They would have to either be badly underperforming in key fights or taking dives.

You seem to believe that because someone isn't fighting at heavyweight today they couldn't succeed in another era which doesn't make a lot of sense. Larry Middleton and Joe Bugner cracked the top 10 in Foremans day. So did Jose Luis Garcia and Jimmy Ellis. Wouldn't you expect Gassiev Breidis etc to be able to beat some of these guys?

alp has high standards for depth of top 10 opponents, like he does with his enthusiasm over james toney having a grand total of 1 of them at cruiser

toney a more decorated cruiser than usyk , tell us alp :yay:

Pretending its real, staying committed to the joke, and getting people to think its serious is the fun of trolling. That is the joke.
