I went to Lindholme jail with the Ingle lot to spar with the prisoners about 1995-6. One of the cons threatened Johnny Nelson after their move around. He was still upset he'd paid to watch the De'Leon bout.

I doubt it , its more a case of stupidity and being a dumb idiot , with a very blasse attitude to guns which comes from where he lives , it just never seems to amaze me just how dumb people are , dispite the very heavy sentences for any drugs in Malaysia , Indonesia , i know of lots of Aussies who would still buy weed on the beaches there and happilly smoke it , knowing full well the amount who get set up for there bank accounts to be emptied for bribes when there caught .

Manchester Crown Court date is 9th Oct for an initial hearing according to Boxing News. I would guess he’s remanded in custody until then? Looking at penalties I think this is a hefty fine in America, but here it’s up to 10 years. Trying to go a plane with a gun AND ammunition sounds serious to me.

Is his story that he brought it through from the states? I can’t believe that really. So perhaps there’s illegal gun charges to come.
